That reminded me I always wondered what happened to AKI the developers of those classic wrestling games.
A short search on the internet and I found out they have from Def Jam until now morphed into the team behind the recent Style Savvy from Nintendo and game tie ins for a magical girl pop Idol anime.
Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes have teased about getting them to develop a AEW wrestling game. I doubt the talent that made Def Jam, WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy are still around
i think depending on the game watching a video can be quite informing on deciding if its worth buying or not. as somebody pointed out watching someone play a bit of sekiro could convince you to buy it however some games are not really suited for watching someone else play. a lot of jrpgs fall into this category i like atelier games for example but if someone watched me play it it would be like 6 hours of me making shit so i could kill all the bosses in a single run later on.
I was pretty sure Capcom said that if you bought the base game you won’t need to purchase updates, so if they do this they’re going back on that. I already don’t play the game much as it is so I’m pretty much completely out if this is the case which is fine. I suspect those v skills are not going to change the game much save for maybe a couple char.
Edit: I’m also getting a weird feeling that they are just gonna port this game into the next gen and we prob won’t get 6 until 3 years from now…
Apparently the update is free for those who already have the game.
So you get balance changes, new VSkils and whatever else that fall under system changes.
But the content isnt, Costumes, stages and chars.
