That’s basically the abridged version of what I just said.
Says the SEGA Stan.

I got to the third or fourth world on kingdom hearts 3 and just couldn’t keep playing.
Thought that MK11 trailer had actual gameplay. But nope, it’s still the Tokido trailer with some Switch stylings.
Once they introduced that Xehanort could time travel and has been manipulating all the events From Birth By Sleep up until Dream Drop Distance I was jut like “ugh. Dumb”. They overhauled the battle system in the same game too. Made it much more hectic, floaty and a lot less fun. I heard that carried over into 3 but dialed up the extreme due to the rides, being able the change between 3 keychains during battle and bunch of other shit.
I ended up spoiling myself and watching the endings and all they did was leave more questions than answers. Which is frustrating since KH3 was the end of the “darkness seekers saga” but just left you with a bunch of sequel bait and wondering why you wasted so much of your time being invested in the series.
I don’t even care enough to look up the ending lmao. Combat is shit, floaty, magic is busted. Cutscenes just make me want to puke. So much fucking talking. Organization members constantly pop up and ain’t trying to throw hands? Gtfo with this nonsense. Also removing sora’s powers is some grade A bullshit.
Time travel ruins everything in my eyes.
i would be worried as a switch user when i plan to buy the game. till now no real gameplay footage even tho there was a event with it being playable but no one dared to make some videos…smells fishy.
My brother beat the KH3 and told me to just not worry about playing it. Everyone I know seems to mention how abhorrent the cutscenes are.
That’s really my only issue in all this. NRS express that they are confident that the game runs in 60fps and all the previews point to the game running fine but they refuse to let anyone take pictures or videos of the game in real time. If you’re that confident in the game then why the smoke and mirrors? That 3 seconds of footage in that trailer is it and the game is a bit over 2 weeks away at this point.
Probably afraid of people saying anything about the near PSP quality graphics it’s likely to have, lol. No one is expecting it to look anything like the console and PC versions so all this hush hush shit is kinda annoying.
Time travel can be done well if not done insultingly or just randomly shoehorned into the plot. Earthbound and Chrono trigger are great examples of good usage of time travel. Other wise, yes. I agree.
So Troy Baker isn’t in Borderlands 3 despite Rhys being a character in it.
Dialogue super corny, all the FF characters missing, combat super floatly and had too much shit goin in (KH2 was perfect but they changed it), story felt soul-less
Catch it on sale if u have to get it
This game started as a crossover and was stripped of the thing that was it’s cool factor.
Tales from the Borderlands was a mistake.
Bleh, I’ll have to play it if stuff from it is popping up in BL3.
This is 100% self admitted Tetsuya Namura’s fault. In an interview before Dream Drop Distance I believe, it may have been during KH3 production, I don’t remember off hand.
But he said there were 2 reasons for the lack of FF characters in games after II . The first being because the story had become too convoluted, he couldn’t remember who has met who, what their motives were or what their point was in the games and overall story.
Secondly, he said that that Square wanted him to focus more on their original characters made for the series rather than “throw backs” so instead of trying to shoehorn them in he decided to phase them out completely, basically.
A lot of the cast from The World Ends with You were main characters and a catalyst for a lot of events that happen in Dream Drop Distance but I get it, that’s not the same. Clearly more people have play final fantasy than a niche rpg that flew under the radar for DS.
Don’t know what being a Sega stan has to do with FFXV being a mess…
Tales From The Borderlands is arguably the best Adventure game produced by Telltale Games.
I have a copy of Borderlands 2 with all DLC just sitting there barely played, but once I started Tales From The Borderlands I could not put it down until I reached the end.
The guy who wrote the story couldn’t keep up with his own nonsense? Nomura should never write a story again.
