Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

I can’t believe I forgot this. I remember in an interview with Billy Corgan, it was after he heard the Hurt cover he told the interviewer “as far as I’m concerned that’s his song now”

Edit: ALSO have you seen the music video for that song?

FUCK it’s depressing. Iirc he made it right after his wife, June died

I’ll take a Swing and a Miss for 300.

But on surprisingly good covers:

Despite what you think it’s a pretty universally loved cover in the metal community.

Despite what you think, most of your posts are wrong and so is that one.

Its a meh cover. They played it but nothing interesting happens in it. There’s legitimately no reason to ever play that when you can play the original.

Kind of like this. I love David Bowie. If you’re gonna take a song, might as well take it somewhere that you see as an artist and show a new aspect to it like:

Beck being Musical Jesus.

nah… I just want part 3 at this point. The first Borderlands was also surpassed in every possible way by part 2, imo…well except the playable characters… I liked the original vault hunters a little bit more than the cast from part 2.

sheeeeit, I already wish the 2 villains from B3 were playable characters…the design for those 2 is awesome.

*hopefully they at least tone it down a little bit with pushing certain agendas in this one. There’s some shit in Pre-Sequel that was really off-putting to me. (*like using Mr. Torgue of all people to do a quick rant on Friend Zone and toxic masculinity or patriarchy or whatever; I forgot the exact words but it was truly one hell of an eye-roll moment…it was almost like the kind of writing you see in your average CW show today.)

You said Brick was your favorite BL 1 character right?

oh yeah Brick was the Main Man… I never got tired of him going crazy and punching things to death as his “action skill”…he’s still one of my favorite characters in the franchise.

This vid brings up some of the same points I’ve been ranting about for quite some time… more and more gamers should see it and think about the future of this industry they supposedly care about:

mods of reddit video game forums closed down for most of today (April 1st)

Here’s the negative reactions about it, lol

April Fools is about hilarity and the people getting pissed about it proved it.

Them doing that is literally proving their “reason” is right. Gaming communities are fucking toxic

Interesting video, but the solution is so obvious it is referenced by the video.

Brick is awesome.

But if they haven’t balanced the endgame, go for Mord or Lilith on your first run.

I have heard opinions like this before. Like the battle tune, if I remember right, people say sounds like something they would play at a hair saloon

Anyway, I enjoy more Royal Guard than Witch Time.

I don’t understand why that would be embarrassing. It’s not like you are Bayonetta, so why is it a problem for her to have music that suits her character/style/attitude? Why would you be embarrassed yourself?

I’ve never read as many unreasonably and superficial ‘arguments’ people would use to defend their decision to not play one of the best games ever made than they do with Bayonetta.

‘The music is dumb’, ‘she’s wearing glasses’, ‘those guns on her feet look ridiculous’, ‘it looks weird’, ‘what’s up with her hair?’, ‘she’s a woman’ and so on.

The QTEs are easily the worst part of the game.

And they are why Bayo 2 is actually the GOAT 3D Character Action game.

Because part two did away with them.

heh, sheeeeeit, I still listen to a lot of the Bayonetta soundtrack on a regular basis. The theme for the final boss “Jubileus” is one of my favorites of all time (*well…it’s one of the greatest final battles of all time, imo.)…that part where it changes is legendary, man… check it out… about 3 minutes or so in…

that shit right there, along with the absolute epic shit going on in the game at the time, bruh…goddamn

*sidenote–I like both the Brenda Lee “Fly me to the moon” and the Sinatra version… I’d give the slight edge to Brenda Lee though.

sheeeeit, and then there’s the theme to the fight with Balder…it’s in there again for part 2 in an especially epic moment-- "he will not be forgiven…he will NEVER BE FORGIVEN!!!" — don’t even get me started, man… now I’m in the mood to hear it all again… soooo many legendary moments, man… damn, man…
