On the note of music in games, I just want to say that the music in Ori and the Blind Forest is top notch. I know it’s not a new game but I started it recently and played it again last night and the music is just incredible in the game.

Man this RGB Mini is really cool. Even with my shitty low as it gets composite cables the games look way better then just plugging the machine into the tv raw, and I’ve played some Megaman, Shilloette Mirage, and Metal Slug and it feels just fine.
Maybe I can actually entertain getting rid of my CRT…

Yeah. I really want the Ori series on the switch like it’s been rumored since M$ and Nintendo became friends with benefits. I don’t want or need an Xbone and I don’t think it’s available for Mac on Steam. So I’m at the mercy of hope.

It’s been so many years since I played SFIV; I forgot that Seth’s music was that damn good… I must add that to my music collection now, for sure.
new mii/character ideas springing to mind as always… BigPapaPuke and Monsieur Manure… BPP is just slightly over the 10-character limit; I could probably abbreviate that further in some way to my satisfaction…but Monsieur Manure is way over the limit, sadly. It’s also a damn shame that you can’t make a really accurate Mike Tyson; I’ve tried various things but the options are so limited it never captures a satisfactory likeness of the dude.
This is yet another little detail where MS kinda kicks Nintendo’s ass again… the modern XB Live “Avatars” have way more customization in there…too bad there’s basically no use for the Live Avatars…I can’t even remember the last game where they can be used in some way; probably the last “Dorito’s” course game, which was quite a long time ago.
I think I’m one of the few people that thinks that SFIV’s music is better than most people give it credit for. There’s definitely some misteps when it comes to character themes here and there but There is some really good renditions to go along with the stage music.
Fei’s theme from the 4 series is probably the best arrangement that Capcom has put out (aside from HD remix if people count it).

Avatar Fighter Online best use of avatars. It also had catchy music. The creator was on SRK. lol. If he did a new one with the updated avatars, shit would be tits.
I’d play the shit out of a WRPG or beatem up with avatars as well.
RE: SFIV music. It’s not easy to best Fei Long theme, because the original is like a 20 second loop. Guiles theme is nice, and Juri’s, and Seth. I’ll give it to the Snowy Railyard, and Volcano, even though the volcano is a remix of the gay ass SFIV theme, this version can be intense in the context of the game. The Super IV character selects (VS and Arcade) are good. Other than that junk.

They should have just given an option for either gender while giving the protag’s a non-gender specific name. Which would have been insanely easy given how fucking silly some Star Wars universe names are.

It would have been nice if they gave a gender select but I’m not about to try to tell game developers that they need to change how they tell a story especially if they have specific way they want to tell it. That being said their answer was dumb as fuck and they definitely should have just said we just wanted to tell the story this way and left it at that. Dragging Rey into this is a dumb PR move.
