So I’ve been playing Team Fight Tactics. Day 2 and I can pretty much always make it to top 3. You just need to cheese by making assassin build and it’s auto win. Meh I dont see myself playing this too much if they don’t balance it out.
Watching videos of it I don’t know if that style of game will be as fun to me as it once was, but I know it’s still early. I’ll probably pick it up when its like $30 or something.
Ohhhh I love any video where someone shits on this stadia foolishness… here we have Upper Echelon ripping into it for a minute:
I got my copy of Mario Maker 2 today on lunch…still haven’t started it though because I’m on yet another really good run in Dead Cells at the moment…it would be nice to unlock something right about now because I happen to have over 200 cells on me at the moment! [left-over from defeating Hand of the King on Hard mode; I forgot that you actually keep whatever you had in terms of cells from that run going right into the next one…]
SamSho will likely be a budget title in under 6 months anyways. And that’s not me saying the game is “bad”. I’m saying it’s likely to happen if it doesn’t reach sales goals.
Happened with Soul Cal 6, Starlink, Battlefield 2, Fallout 76, Crash Trilogy, Spyro Trilogy, a few others I’m probably failing to mention. It’s likely why a lot of switch games are $10-15 cheaper right now too.
I finally bought Cuphead during this Steam sale- what a great example of how to do a modern Contra. Tough, relatively short stages/battles, a level select/overworld, selectable weapon loadouts (no depending on getting/keeping the right pickup, something Shattered Solider also did well), a good ranking system to encourage replays, and no limited continues bullshit. A big beef I have with most run and guns (and shmups) is the dedicated time sink a full playthrough takes, and the fact that screwing up late in the playthrough can ruin your entire lengthy run. Cuphead solves that problem completely without neutering the challenge.
You meet someone later on who looks like Alucard and is voiced by OG PS1 Alucard himself. Shit, in the Japanese version this same character is voiced by the same guy who did the voice for OG Alucard in that region.
David Hayter is also a VA for one of the characters. I feel like this game is a big fuck you to Konami.
