Tatsunoko vs . Capcom was forgettable

The American “Super Sentai” only has 6 character types ever

The Leader
The Token girl
The Jock
the Token Minority
The Nerd
The Extra (Ala Green Ranger ect)

The Japanese has 8 characters

Japanese Super Sentai
The Leader
The Token girl
The Emo
The Otaku
The Kid
The “Dirty Harry” bad Cop type
The Extra

And Spider-Man

No, they suck. Atleast the Jank of the Japanese versions are some what entertaining and quasi-original.

Naw. There are some legit really good Power Rangers series in the states. Jungle Fury, Ninja Steel, RPM (which is considered the best American adaptation. It’s surprisingly deep and really dark. Amazing character development), DinoThunder, a few others I can’t think of right now.

The Sentai source material is also really good. Campy, but really good. Depends on the demographic they’re aiming for. They had one where the first scene in the first episode was the main character being crucified. The next series was about trains. Lol.

It’s a mixed bag. Still solid though.

But seriously a Capcom vs Super Sentai is just going to have a shit ton of clone characters, unless you draw no two hero characters from the same series and make sure that the gimmick is different.
It be DBFZ all over agian, a roster of 30 characters with 15 being all Gokus.

Neither power rangers nor Sentai have like this really outside of Mighty Morphin through Space which are all exclusive to America.

TvC was fuckin amazing and came outta nowhere. I didnt know who 90% of the characters where but they were so fun to play. Rockman Volnut, Cashern Tekkaman & G-Force…so good

I wouldn’t mind if thet bring that back or use the EXACT same fighting system for MvC4. I regret foolishly trading my copy of that game😤
