Man⌠I finally decided to stop procrastinating and decided to open up and clean my PS4. Suffice to say there was plenty of shit inside, which accumulated as a result of 4 years without such maintenance (and my cat constantly sleeping on top of it).
While itâs not DEAD silent in resource-intensive games like TW3 or PoE, the fan noise difference is most definitely noticeable, not to mention itâs good for systemâs health in general. Unfortunately Iâm not tech savvy enough to disassemble the thing completely to put a new layer of thermal paste onto the SOC (which is even more important than cleaning out the dust), but still - keeping the device helps to declutter the cooling system, which means better air flow, which means lower running temperatures/lower chance of overheating, whch means⌠you get the idea
All you need is two different screwdrivers, a piece of sloth, some q-tips, a can of compressed air, and roughly 20-30 minutes of your free time. Bonus points if you take off the shell parts (3 of them total) and water them off for further cleaning out.
Definitely recommended if the noise bothers you or if you suspect you owned it long enough for it to gather enough dirt inside
Just be careful to not lose/drop the screws, to not bother/disrupt the connection ribbons, and ESPECIALLY to not accidentally disconnect the PSU wires (Iâd recommend unscrewing and taking it out because thatâs how you get acces to the radiator just below the fan), otherwise you might be running into a big black plastic brick

I have this on my Switch. Its a cheap, fun, cute little over head game. Well worth the 5 bucks it costs.

So apparently Shenmue 3 is an Epic Gamestore exclusive. This is the second time I can recall PC backers getting fucked by this nonsense. No one backed the game for an Epic Store game key. WTF man.

yeah, its a strange move from the publishers. its one thing to give the backers what they backed for and put the regular purchasable version into the epic store for a year but when someone backed for a steam key he should get it or at least be able to decide which platform key he gets.

It honestly wouldnât. Games are increasing become more digital. It wouldnât surprise me if physical media gets faded out halfway into next gen.
I disagree. Xbox has been pushing Backward Compatibility hard for them to show up with a console with no disc drive would absurdly dumb.
