There will be awesome music on a certain game releasing on the 18th. Music by Yamane, y’know the lady behind Castlevania music for over a decade or so.
FEXL has a sick OST too. Shantae had some good tracks as well. Ninja Gaiden II has my personal favorite soundtrack out of the “big 3” action gaems.
If I get put into an online match and one of these tracks come on I get extra hype.
I despise Persona 3’s premise and dumbing down of certain game elements, but Persona 3 Portable is definitely the better version of the game as it gives the player far more control (like controlling party members), takes out arbitrary mandatory breaks from dungeon raids, and simplifies travel.
Thanks for reminding me I still need to play Shadow Hearts.
ohhh yeah… Witcher 3 had some of the greatest tracks, man… “Lullaby of Woe” is still something I listen to on a regular basis…
…and some of my main personal theme music in life…
(the theme that plays as the heroes have finally found my hidden lab… with all the experiments and research I had been conducting over the years… frozen in terror, there are no words for what they have just seen…)
It baffles me that SEGA STILL hasn’t released SEGA AGES Virtua Racing outside of Japan yet. Like, the eff is the hold up? They did the same crap with Outrun and that game was entirely in English. But I guess that’s par the course foe SEGA taking ages to get these games out.
The trailer for Gato Roboto sold me on buying that game. A cute cat in a meacha? Asking for a release date? How much of my money is Devolver Digital gonna take?
Octopath had an amazing soundtrack and is easily my favorite part of that game.
If anyone here is a (videogame) music nerd like me check this out:
8-bit music theory puts out some amazing video essays. They have a really good one on the DKC series and how incredibly bonkers all the music in those games are arranged.
All EX2 characters are in, now I wonder if Ace will make it or if they’ll bring back OG’s from Fighting Layer like Janus and George. George=SwagMasterFlex
She won’t be as oppressive like she was in the older games just like Rosso isn’t as oppressive because of one mechanic: Guard Cancel into whatever. If she shoots out her arm and attempts to follow up with a string, Guard Cancel >>>>>>>>>>>
It’s not that all. I despise the character design. She is in my top 3 least favorite fighting game character designs. Since I have no re attachment to FEXL, no reason to deal with her. I wish Arika well though. FEXL is clearly a passion project.
It came out at the end of the SNES life cycle by a small developer and publisher that tried doing subpar sequels before it was devoured by Square Enix who did the polygon remake on the DS.
A shame, the game was legit in its Zelda style dungeons and story.
