Was at my buddies last night and we played some old school games on RetroPi.
We finished Super Mario Lost Levels from start to finish without no warps. That was a challenge but save states helped a ton lol.
Then we played shit SHMUP on NES called Abadox which was pretty damn fantastic, and no clue how someone could finish that game without save states lol.
Oh. If there happens to be someone out their who doesnāt own Shovel Knight yet. Treasure Trove version is 50% off across all platforms. I donāt remember when the sale ends though.
Despite the larger cut Steam has a large install base that is bound to net more profit for the average developer unless Epic provides funding and offsets the risk of releasing a new game. I can understand Epic trying to get their foot in the door, but trying to strong arm the competition without a large backing or leverage is counter productive.
That should be the case but itās not. Since Steam has no curation many games get buried in a avalanche of shovelware, assist flips and other low effort garbage. Itās gotten so bad that many indie devs have stated they sold more on consoles like the Switch as their games actually have a chance to get noticed and promoted.
I am certain that being released on a well established platform less saturated with offerings is beneficial, but I do not think that limiting a release to Epic Store is wise. I think the best games get a decent amount of exposure anywhere, but a lot of great games are commercial failures.
Playing the Castlevania collection and setting Adventure in the list every time I boot it up really rubs salt in the omission of Adventure Rebirth. I can still play it on the Wii, but Iād feel much better about having it on available on a newer platform as well. Having replayed it some time in the last year, I really think itās underrated, mostly due to the built in obscurity of being a Wii Ware only release.
Hard disagree. Many of the Japanese versions have cluttered arrangements and worse soundwave choices so you end up with pieces where the additional elements make it sound too busy, obscure the melody, or are just filler. Some of them are good, but a lot of them are worse imo.
Been keeping an eye on reviews and gameplay for Team Sonic Racing and it appears the game is slightly better than I expected it to be. Most reviews are either positive or meh on it so I may pick it up when it drops in price. Just wish they didnt force the Team aspect even if some found it fun.
I just got out of John Wick 3 and man I need a legit game made out of this series. I donāt know who Iād get to develop it but they could easily have it as a prequel and follow John as he reaches his notoriety. Heād learn skills along the way as he built up his reputation doing jobs and missions and it could easily be canon to the universe withour getting in the way of the movies.
