I’m fucking stoked about SMM2 online co-op and verses. I really hope it lets us choose our own levels to play, so my brother and I can make levels and then play them together. I wonder if you’ll have the option to only have 2 players instead of having to play with randoms.
So agreed. Also the Genesis of Street Fighter II can go fuck off as it’s the worst if the 16 bit console ports.

So The Genesis Mini turns out to be a dumpster fire.
Lets include the worst 16 bit console port of Street Fighter II but not include a 6 button pad.
But hey you can buy that 6 button pad separately despite the Japanese version comes with it?

The better alternative for Sega fans would be the Analogue Mega SG, the option to use real carts, real pads, support for Master system carts, jail break it and you can boot roms for the Genesis, Master system, Game gear and some reason Coleco from the SD card slot. It cost more, but hey I can use an actual Sega CD with it.

This is another mini console like the PSOne Classic I’m likely going to skip.
Though I grew up with Sega from Master System until CD I have no real emotional attachment to any of their IP’s or properties. Like, yeah, there are plenty of games for the Sega consoles I liked but none I’m even remotely invested in really.
I have it preordered but I’m likely going to cancel it. I don’t know. It’s just not doing anything for me. The best games they’ve announced for it are Vector Man and Gunstar Heroes. Oh. And SoR2. I guess.

No, Its the one game pad style that should of came with in of the box now has to be a separate purchase, despite the Japanese version getting it automatically.
Still don’t see how that makes it trash. Just makes CE a stupid inclusion which it already was. Not a big deal.

I find it funny that this collection only has 40 games when the PS3/360 Genesis Collection had 48 games and neither collection has Outrun.

Naw, I am a casual that cooks via pre-made box dinners and microwavable stuff so the idea of buying a system and then tracking down carts or hack it to play roms has no appeal.
I do agree it is shitty how they are doing the International system with giving us the three button controller but that is the original default and at least it does come with two of them so you and a friend can suffer together. I am still likely to buy it but hearing the Japanese version gets that Yu Yu Hakusho game and we don’t feels like a disservice despite the logistics.
