sheeeeeit, Ultimate Alliance 3, bruhā¦ Iām absolutely on board day 1 for that. I still donāt get why any company would go exclusive though; youāre only limiting the audience (and that tasty MONEY) that way.
Nintendo is publishing the game. They put their money behind so it canāt be helped.
Man I played the shit outta MUA 1 back in the xb360 daysā¦ I never played 2 thoughā¦
I have an unsettling and shitty feeling that MediEvil is only going to be available physically at GameStop. Usually Amazon and BestBuy have preorders up immediately but they donāt. Yet GameStop does.
I have it preordered at GameStop but if I end up being wrong Iām going to cancel it with the quickness so I can get it somewhere else.
Companies want exclusive things to their brand so people will buy their products. They want flagship titles, brands, characters, so on and so forth. Simple as that. Sometimes their things are produced in-house, sometimes theyāre just the financial backer. But itās pretty easy to see why companies have and want exclusivity to their products.
Exclusively is the way companies can get you to buy the product on their terms. A way for some to garner sales from a specific market. In the case of many (like MUA) Nintendo helps by funding the game so it makes the development smoother cause they have money for the project. In turn the devs only have to make it work for one console (thus lowers costs needed to develop and port to another system) plus it helps sell consoles.
But we all knew that this is one sided and only is a problem if you donāt own the console.
Do first party titles do availability exclusivity? Most GameStop exclusives tend to be small obscure titles.
Nothing like Soul Blazer. That is one of my all time favorite SNES games with some of the best music on SNES. This isnāt like Zelda at all this is more Monster Boy 2D view the whole time.
No. Not that I know of. Well, Katamari ReRolled physical edition was only available at GameStop. Same with Borderlands GOTYE.
Those are third party games. Has a Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo game ever been made exclusively available at GameStop?
Not that I can think of.
Actually the domestic release of Xenoblade Chronicles was at one point GameStop exclusive, I forget if this was at the original limited release or the re-release but for a minute that was the only way to get the game when NoA was not feeling it before or during the Project Rainfall stuff.
There were 2-4 games on the Wii that were GameStop exclusive. I just canāt remember which ones outside of XBC
I was referring to the companies producing/publishing a gameā¦from their perspective it would seemingly make more sense to make your product available to the biggest possible groupā¦ like if I had a company that was making something; Iād rather it be on all the consoles and PC instead of just 1 platformā¦I want as many customers ($$$!) on my product as possible. On the other side of thatāitās easy to see why the companies that produce the platforms (Nintendo, MS, Sony) would want exclusivity deals since that gives them an edge over the competition.
In the case of Ultimate Alliance 3, I didnāt know Nintendo had some involvement there so that makes senseā¦itās sounding apparently similar to the Bayonetta 2 situation then.
I havenāt even had much quality game-time over the past few days despite having time off because the internet drama has been too damn good to pass upā¦things are finally settling down now thoughā¦but Jaredās downfall continues. Sub count - 852k nowā¦and still falling this guy has lost 179,000+ subs since Thursday morning.
That game was bomb, but IMO itās spiritual sequel (Illusion of Gaia) was MUCH better.
Picked up Persona 5 and am working towards finishing it up.
Super duper late game spoilers.
Summary
Dude they played me so good with Igors voice change. I just accepted they changed it due to the jpn va passing away. When the fake Igor takes off and the real one comes back with the old english va from 3 and 4 returning I smiled from war to ear. Well played Atlus.
I learned an inordinate amount about world holy sites in that game. Game needed to calm down with all the archeology
And by calm down, I mean make a sequel.
Producer for DMC states again that there is no more planned dlc for dmc 5, Itsuno already working on next project
Also they are open to revisiting DmC if they can work with Ninja Theory
Itsuno already moved on to Dragonās Dogma 2. I have to kill my hopes of playable Trish and Lady
DmC crossover with original DMC would be dope if Itsuno develops itš¤
