From all the footage that has been released thus far itās supposed to be an action RPG. They are changing a lot with this just from looking at that trailer.

@FPS fanz one of the best FPS games of all time has gotten a proper remaster by the guys who re-released Turok 1 & 2.

Every gun has an alternate fire mode, the level design is top notch, the audio design and music is fantastic, the environment is more interactive than 99% of games released today(Build engine fam) and itās just so goddamn fun and satisfying to play and shoot shit in this game. Itās hard as hell too.
One of the achievements is supposedly a reference to a Youtuber who mainly reviews FPS games called Civvie11(I mentioned him a while back, heās always shitting on Randy Pitchford.)

Yeah itās Squeenix so take the announcement of the game then add 10-15 years until you see it release.
Well the first time ff7 was in development, Square and Nintendo were still buddy buddy and the game was getting developed for a prototype N64, Relations spur over Super Mario RPG and Nintendo not going with optical media and FF7 was getting made for PS1 instead.
It disappoints me to see FF7 remake still going in the action RPG direction. I wish it stuck with turn based.

Turn based has become way too dry.
Dragon quest got a pass cause dragon quest.
It may be down to personal opinion but the roster seems wack, tracks designs seem generic, tracks are much wider on average, and I donāt like teams. So it is a downgrade from Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing in every aspect for me as I prefer characters and themes from other Sega IPs. That is not even going into how much of a downgrade it is compared to Transformed. Crash on the other hand seems to be expanding in content and doing it all with a superb presentation to match.
Im cool with whatever system ff7 goes with as long as its actually fun to play and not floaty af like KH3. But i can def see why ppl would want turn based tho

Action RPGs havenāt with itās repetitive halfed ass action gameplay that depend on stat tracking to make up for what itās lacking? Shit has grown stale to me.

This game man. Gibs everywhere, references to a ton of horror movies like The Shining, Friday the 13th and others, and the main character is always talking shit similar to Duke. Speaking of Duke, you can find his dead body in the carnival level and Caleb(the main character) has a one liner shitting on the guy.

I agree with this. A lot of Japanese studios who are trying to keep traditional JRPGās alive by trying to make the traditional turn based system as unique as possible pretty much killed my love for JRPGās outside of Dragon Quest.
I love the simplicity of DQ games. No frills, no sub mechanics really. Just a menu of options and press the command button.
Action RPGās have never really appealed to me outside of Kingdom hearts but the battle mechanics have been floaty and shitty since 3D.

good turn based games still exist you got your shin megami tensei,persona, trails, dragon quest, bravely default, octopath, every 2nd and 3rd game in an atelier trilogy, and even a few idea factory games have decent turn based systems.
