The only game I came super close to either calling out or asking for a day off for was BotW. Me and my wife were eat sleep and drinking that game for months.
Yeah. Literally never. Itās not worth it to me. I asked for Switch launch day off but that was because I was excited about that and not a particular game.
When work denied me I was just like And didnāt care anymore.
Now that I always have Tuesdayās off I never have to ask for a new game release day offā¦unless itās from Nintendo because they like to be different and release their software on Fridayās. Even then, I still donāt ask it off.
I been fortune enough to have games Iām anticipating being released when time off is right around the corner. MK11 dropped when I got the week off. Lucky me.
This and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 are the two games that will make me salty for not having a Switch.
The tournament stage on MK11 has a Shaolin Monks arcade cab. Boon playing too many games. Re-release the game or give me a sequel damn it.
Hereās a fuck up if any.
Playing MK11 offline reverts the latest patch.
Itās a great system. I canāt recommend it enough. There are so many good games on it. Original titles and ports. The eshop is a little Steam-y right now with them letting all sortsa garbage in to the shop but itās gotten better.
Iād wait for the rumored āproā model thatās supposed to be announced at E3 this year, though.
Back when I didnāt have my own place I took paid time off for EVO weekend but thatās about it.
I donāt think Iāve ever taken a day off work for a gameās release, but I get every other Friday off so Iām gonna finagle it so it lines up for Mario.
So Astral Chain and Shenmue 3 release 3 days apart from each other in August.
Iām hoping Sega releases Judgement early June so it and Mario Maker 2 donāt release too close to each other.
They release the same week. judgment on the 25th, SMM2 on the 28th.
Dammit.
Hope I can put a dent in Judgement. But going by the Yakuza games Iāve played, Iām imagining the story gripping me by the balls and not letting go, so Iām gonna be super back and forth between releases.
helllll YEAH, manā¦Iām always happy to see any new material on this.
Howeverātime for a nitpick, unfortunatelyā¦ Iām not really digginā those cinematics there; not exactly trying to be mean to whoever animated it but that seems like something weād see from a game with a smaller budget and team. If 2d I would prefer more detailed visuals than thatā¦or just a different āstyleā.
Anywayā¦ Thin-Blood is a clan now? Iāll have to dive into that lore againā¦
yep, those are basically some weaker vampsā¦though they have the advantage of being able to tolerate the sunlight more than normal vampires: https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Thin-blooded
Cuphead - finally, on this 3rd day of attempts I beat that damn blue birdā¦then I beat the genie āDjimmi the Greatā surprisingly with not much troubleā¦ but now Iām on the absolute nightmare of a fight that is Beppi the Clown.
I am fortunate enough to have a large enough backlog, that I can just shrug, and wait for the GotY Edition,or Nintendo Select, as were, with 98% of things.
Pitchford merked one of those other 1
2% stone cold dead, so Iāll just have to contend with Day One-ing Bloodstained, this year.
Maybe Fire Emblem.
But thatās gotten big enough now, that I am not going to fret over the possibility of short supply.
I still havenāt started Monster Hunter World.
Or Persona 5.
Or Tales of Berseria.
And I lost my Dragon Quest 11 save, right at the start of the second half/third, due to outright shenanigans.
So if anything is going to become my new sink any time soon, it is thatā¦ I just need to fully recover emotionally from that massive loss of investment, first.
ā¦but my Lilith is still only level 56, and Iāve got a jumbo Crawdad to chain run for Pearls for the foreseeable future.
Rumour for the āproā currently is that itās been delayed to the end of this year. Supposedly the cheaper handheld only version is still on track for the middle of the year
That doesnāt mean it wonāt be announced at E3 though.
Does not mean it will ether.
When the last time Nintendo had an actual conference at e3?
They have Their own thing Online that they can do when ever they want.
Iām aware. I donāt think theyāve done an actual E3 conference since the Wii U announcement. I think theyāre too worried about the live crowds reaction to their products now since the Wii balance board shit and the Wii U presentation were so fucking awkward.
So theyād rather just be like āYOU WANT TRAILERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS? FUCK YEAH! US TOO! HERE YOU GO!ā And observe the feedback over social media.
It works for them so I canāt really judge them for it. The directs are one of the smartest and best things to happen during the Reggie Era. I still miss Iwata presenting though.
