edit—well that’s odd… there is a “Daily Challenge” thing in the game, but there’s no leaderboards…? Anytime that sort of thing is in a game I’d expect there’s probably leaderboards associated with that.

I liked the Black Ops series (well, 2 and 3) after MW. I like the COD formula, and like to give every one a chance at least even if I’m not going to buy it.
But as I’m playing this more and more, trying to give it more chances, I just get more let down. Literally the ONLY things I’m liking about the game right now are the sound design and the way the medals look. Yes, medals. Those things that pop up on the screen when you get things like a head shot. Those are the ONLY positives I have about the game. It’s so sad to see this shit from the premiere COD creators.

of course there are leaderboards, you can see them at the title screen after you hit start.
and yeah, streaming has been intergrated into the game but you need to conect your twitch account first.

huh… I guess it’s not on the Switch version then. I’ve gone out of the game and even restarted but I haven’t noticed a leaderboard anywhere in it.
I just had a good run, at least compared to previous attempts… I beat Concierge and was seemingly far in the next area until one of those cowboy-hat wearing monsters finally got me with repeated cannonball shots. I had a blood sword that gave me health back per kill, HP was looking good, brutality was something like level 7 or 8 with the +dps AND -54% cooldown on grenades. I should’ve tried to parry but a mistake would’ve cost me anyway, as the cannoball shots do huge damage, and the game was running a combo with that + those green bugs that fly up to you and explode unless they are quickly killed.
Dead cells is great. I’ve gotten all the runes and need to get to the final boss. Easier said then done. I’ve only been able to get to the level right before em’.
Major:
-I didn’t really like specialists to begin with, and now they have increased sway on gameplay. I hoped it wasn’t as bad as I was thinking before the beta hit, but it was. Firebreak’s reactor core? Torque’s wire and barricade? Ajax’s Shield?
-Manual health regen. Who asked for this? Again, I didn’t think it would be that bad, but it is. I’ve gotten more deaths because I had to duck into cover and stab myself than I have through straight running out and being an idiot who got outgunned.
-The netcode is still bad in terms of hit detection. I would be 100% convinced it was my connection, if not for the fact that this shit has chased me through three Treyarch games and two different internet providers at this point. I’m sick of my opponent’s bullets ending lives and mine hurting feelings.
-I don’t like any of the maps. For all the whining in the wild about how Treyarch’s map design is too similar, I enjoyed the maps on the Black Ops 3 beta from the start. I still at least like them in the final game. With BO4 though, I’m not really liking any of the maps you start out with. I can’t put my finger on it, since I’ve had little time with the beta. But the lack of like is there.
Minor:
-The cursor on the UI is TERRIBLE. This is another one of those “who asked for this” changes. Who was honestly asking for a change from the D-Pad for navigating? I understand this for PC, but not console players.
Another aspect here is the future. I don’t see any of these issues lessening as I get better at the game. I don’t see myself having more fun with this shit as I get better at the game. On top of all this, I just know Activision is going to pull some fuckery with the microtransactions too. They just pulled some bullshit with the DLC maps, where you had to get the season pass to get the maps. No more individual buying with map packs. How am I to NOT believe they have something up their sleeve? “Loot Box” might be a dirty word now, but there’s still plenty of non LB ways to nickel and dime your consumer. Just look at NBA 2K18, where you couldn’t do damn near anything important in the game without buying in-game currency.
So, due to me not liking the game and seeing Activision lubing up its dick in the corner, I’m out on the series until they come back with something great.

leaderboards are only for daily runs, which is just another name for speed runs mode, not normal mode aka story mode.
i have no idea where the daily runs leaderboard is located on switch.
final boss hand of the king is broken now, needs to be fixed. all bosses hp and def scale along with your upgrade brutality/skills/survival scrolls if you didnt know and its not so apparent with any of the bosses till final boss.
hand of the king’s hp and def skyrocket along with your scrolls…so my advice to you is this.
keep your scrolls that by the time you leave the castle your scrolls are like this 7 brutality, 13 skills, 8 survival.
point is to keep them not too high. under 30 scrolls overall. dont collect every scroll you find.
second, use the best legendary or s rank weapon you can obtain.
third, heavy turret helps alot in that fight.
this bullshit of bosses health and def scaling up to match your scroll number happened in the last update before release. and it makes final boss broken af.
i hope it will be fixed soon. reverted back to how it was.
as for me i just need to do two things to complete everything. beat the game on 4 boss cells. and get the last thing left to collect because i have everything and only have one empty flask left to fill in the collection flasks. i assume is giant killer sword.

why are only half the characters being used here from the character select screen? are the unlockable characters banned or what? i’m perplexed here why the character select screen only has half the characters in the game. in a major tourny
