I don’t know what any of this means but cool.
Purbeast is a certified scuba diver and he completed 2 different certification programs
OW = Open Water (certification) which is classroom certification
AOW = Advanced Open Water, complete a training course of 5 actual dives
Reading impressions on Sekiro sounds like my experience with Bloodborne minus the stat management. Definitely gonna pick this up later this year. I think I’ll have a less confusing time and a more enjoyable time now that stat management isn’t a thing.
Started BB up again. At the Chapel on the DLC went the back way to fight the monsters with the giant nutsacks, and found anew area! Only to come across a corrupted (?) Hunter with a gatling gun, LMAO! Didn’t die but got the fuck out of there safely.
Reading people’s scrubquotes on Reddit, it seems like BB but with a lot of stealth. People who die a lot, or end up complaining online seem to be those who don’t use the game’s stealth mechanics.
Sekiro isn’t like bloodbourne at all. The game is Tenchu with a Souls flavor. Going into it with a Souls mindset will get you wrecked.
Man, I still cant get enough of Dead Cells. Ive been playing that shit for a while now. Ive only gotten to the Timekeeper twice. Ive only fought that tentacle boss twice. I get to the Clock Tower but I usually die before I get through it. Mostly because I open a cursed chest and I end up getting killed.
I was takin’ my time, going slow through each level. Now I’ve sort of sped up and I’m going through the levels as fast as I can. I dont take the first exit, I clear the entire map before moving on but I’m doing it much faster now. I’m basically relying on my twitch reflex to get me through each level. Its a blast. Not thinking, just reacting.
Tenchu is exactly what came to mind playing Sekiro. Everyone calling it bloodborne confused the fuck outta me.
Nothing like Bloodborne. In Bloodborne dodging is life. In Sekiro dodging is death.
You need to block and just defend. If you dont you are going to die…a lot. Read my posts in the Sekiro thread I am getting wasted because I’m struggling to break 15 years of action game play that revolves around dodging.
Because according to kids these days, blocking is bad.
Honestly even that aspect is like a fighting game, where jumping around kills you but sitting and blocking, learning patience is the key to the basics lol
Even back in the SF2 days, scrubs hated blocking.
Doesn’t help that modern games actually make blocking in certain situations bad.
That triggered me
dem sekiro is hard, I thought I was good at Soul games, but sekiro is def. on another lvl.
Biggest problem, as others have said, is treating combat like a Souls game. Can’t bring in preconceptions about defense from Souls into Sekiro or you get wrecked
Yea this is not a “Souls-Like” that mentality will get you killed.
Cool. Literally just a different opinion on a game. You’ll survive. I believe in you. You’ll get through this.
Sekiro sounds up my alley, could never quite get into the combat of the Souls games. Might be my fix right here
A little more info would be great🤔
The OW is both classroom and 4 dives. The AOW is bookwork you can do on your own and 5 dives, so you were close!
The dive shop we used is actually right near Lobster Pot, right next to Rackam’s, Diver’s Down… Your family owns property down there in Georgetown? That has to be extremely valuable at this point!
