Funny thing is, I had a blast during beta 1 and 2. The first one started out kinda bumpy until they worked out the kinks. Then I had a near perfect experience during beta 2. But from beta 3 all the way through the final game it became an unstable mess.
Yeah Iâd argue matchmaking was BETTER during the beta than the final game. Iâd sit for like 5-10 minutes between matches. Then the load time was garbage too. It just took forever to get into matches.
And this was right after I was coming off of playing KI a lot where you would get into a match in 2 seconds and it was like playing someone sitting right next to you but they were across the country. And after the match ends, youâre instantly into another match.
From beta 3 onward I would have this issue where no matter what I would only get matched with people from either Brazil or Hong Kong. Even if I had my search settings on âsame regionâ. Those arenât the same region as me let alone the same region as each other. Haha.
In beta 1-2 I only got matched with USA peeps and it was great.
Yeah I would have mine set on 4-5 bar only and would get matched with 1-3 bar people all the time.
The Last of Us. I was super, mega hype for that game. I thought it looked freakinâ amazing and I just couldnât wait to get my hands on it. Once I did get it I didnât really enjoy it. I liked the story and such but the gameplay just didnât click with me. I got about half way through and stopped playing it. I didnât pick it back up for about a year and I forced myself to play through it to the end. Great story, not so great gameplay, imo.
I thought TLOU was incredible, but it took a good 2-3 hours to âget goingâ. I remember being pretty bored initially.
WOOOOOOOO DAY JUAN
Aww yeah. Pre-orders werenât working at EB/GS so they told me to call back to get my pre-order code for DMCV. Kind of lame, but whatever. I got DMCV and RE2 day juan for 30-35 bucks a pop CAD, which is like 22-25 in American pesos by shopping around and abusing trade-in deals as usual. That is ridiculous imo and I plan to do the same with Sekiro at the end of the month.
FF7 for PC was a gift from my nephew as well as Dark Forces+Duke there. I was hanging with a collector buddy a while back, and he said he had 2 variants of FF7 on PC and that he had never seen that one before. Pretty cool. Itâs hilarious that the game was published by Eidos back then considering Square owns Eidos now.
Picked up all of the PS4/Wii U games for like 10 bucks a pop or so. Republique is a stealth indie game and I hear Redout is an indie version of Wipeout/F-zero. Metroid was kind of pricey but thatâs to be expected with 1st-party Nintendo games.
1/2 Minute Hero is the hypest PSP game Iâve gotten in a while. It was expensive but most Xseed published games are.
Robotron 64 was a gift from a stranger. Iâd always see this guy come into my old job, and when I was out at a local âretroâ shop near Christmas I ran into him again. Heâs a big SF fan and weâd always just talk video games. We were looking at random N64 titles and I was hyping up Robotron and Wipeout 64 to him. He said something along the lines of âout of Robotron and Wipeout 64, which would you pick?â and I said Robotron. Dude buys it then hands me the game with a âMerry Christmas.â One of the nicest things Iâve ever had someone do for me, especially considering I barely knew the guy.
DMCV AND PATH OF EXILE ALL DAY
In felt the same way with that Dragon ball fighter
Finally made it to Shido in Persona 5. Gonna (hopefully) wreck this nigga tommorow so I can start DMC5 & Red Dead 2
Canât wait for the Shenmue 3 info tomorrow! Iâll be juggling info for it while playing DMC V tomorrow!
So fucking pumped!
Take with a grain of salt but apparently Home Run Contest and Stage Builder are returning to Smash with the 3.0 update due this April
It looks really rough
Considering what how we know Shenmue came to be the graphics look decent personally. I actually think it looks solid in that dept considering what was first shown. Only thing that sticks out to me is some of the animations are a bit âbobblyâ (I donât know how else to describe it, itâs like the some of the characters have too much movement with what they are doing). Some of the animations need to be cleaned up and that should be it. Hopefully theyâll keep at it up to release.
Extra
Shenmue 3 still has the older animation feel to it that I wasnât to crazy about in the original release.
I wasnât too crazy about it back then considering how AM2 had the best animations back then with VF3 (I know a different scope of game).
Still a day one.
209 of the employees that got laid off f4om Activision Blizzard were from the Blizzard side
Wonder how Blizzard feels about their merger now.
I put like 3-4 hours into Hollow Knight since last night. That game is great. Itâs also not forgiving at all, which actually makes it challenging and funner than being hand held like most games now a days. I just got raped by a boss like 4 times in a row and had to make it back to him, and then when I finally âbeatâ him, there was one more stage to him and I died again. Really frustrating but I had to go back and beat his ass immediately after. It felt very good once he was dead lol.
Which Boss was it? I found the game a good challenge majority of the way through, but i didnt get legit stuck on a boss until much later. Iâd say the first voss wall i ran i to tho was the Mantis boss. They got me like 4 or 5 times.
