Cool that Kirby Star Allies is getting more dlc. I haven’t played it since I 100%ed like a week after launch.
Some Hunter info for you. All beasts are weak to fire. If its got hair and teeth its weak to fire. They are also weak to weapons with teeth like the Saw Cleaver.
Rom is a “species” called Kin. You’ll always know Kin when you see it. All Kin are weak to lightning. Pretty sure it’s all they are weak to as well.
So yea Rom will take more damage from the lightning paper, but as I said, any buff is better then no buff, so if you’re having trouble and all you have is fire paper then I’d say use it.
Due to an Eventhubs article I have been inspired to make a top 5 favorite fighting games list myself. So, here are my top 5 favorite fighting games:
1. Virtua Fighter 5 - Taking the already solid base of Virtua Fighter 4, Virtua Fighter 5 loosened up the movement system, expanded movesets, added stage interactions, improved the balance, updated the visuals, updated the particle effects, improved the soundtrack, and added the minuscule luchador El Blaze and monkey style prodigy Eileen to the roster. Ringing people out by kicking them into the water never gets old in this game and neither does playing it as unlike most fighting games practically every choice is viable for something and every single one has an appropriate counter that requires reaction speed, matchup and system knowledge to use.
2. King of Fighters '98: Final Edition - Taking the proven base of King of Fighters '98 and roster additions of the prior update this release came with balancing changes that made many previously useless characters shine and made the standouts of previous versions reasonable. With a giant viable dream match roster and well tuned mechanics, even the game’s aged aesthetics and soundtrack can’t keep it from greatness.
3. Soul Calibur III: Arcade Edition - Featuring the greatest artistic presentation, best soundtrack, and balance in the series’ long history, great newcomers like (Setsuka and Zasalamel), and every previous character it manages to be the definitive experience of a flavorful and mechanically unique series in the fighting genre.
4. Tekken 6 - Taking the base gameplay and roster of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, this entry adds a ton of overdue enhancements to the series. The number of new animations, useful new attacks that cover a previous character flaw, added tracking enhancing an old move, and stance attacks added in this entry is massive. Even the balance is commendable for such a large roster with 100+ moves per character. Unfortunately it also comes with Bound and Rage, but in this specific version they can be disabled with a cheat utility. Even the addition of sexbot and fatass to the roster can’t rain on this game’s parade.
4. Guilty Gear XX: Slash - It is an update that fine-tunes the series’ balance without significantly changing the gameplay system and forces the game to not be about long combos and cheap setups. It inherits the best assets of the previous update and gets a few new ones. Even better, it adds the love child of Nightmare Before Christmas, Kingdom Hearts, and a famous Swedish pop group, A.B.A. to the roster and she has has two distinct styles with a slow with fireball type style and manic Keyblade swinging style to be switched between on the fly. As far as I am concerned it is the best in a series known for mixing rock n’ roll, science fiction, fantasy, horror, and fighting into a fun experience.
Ended up beating Rom, just had to be a patient and strike some spiders after dodging the blue crystals that come from above. Did it without buffs, where the previous two attempts, I did use buffs, lol. I use Saw Cleaver and Ludwigs blade. Ended up using Saw Cleaver near the end for multiple faster hits.
Hard to be patient when Rom gives the chunky goodness on hits. I think I’m rolling with Kirkhammer on this boss, and probably the entire game on another playthrough.
Spoilering because if you own a PS4 and not this game, you’re fucking up:
and now the game has turned into Berserk with re-spawning enemies and big squid beasts
Thanks for the tips!
I told you, you would recognize Kin when you saw them lol. Games about to get 10x weirder dude lol.
Yea Rom is an excersize in patience, and then all out assault. You gotta know when to get in and do damage and then get th fuck out. also gotta be hyper aware of what is going around you, them little spider fuckers backing her up hit hard.
Also I wanna start by saying the game can be beaten with any weapon. With that out of the way, The Kirk Hammer is pretty bad. Not much of anything is weak to blunt, and it’s crazy slow.
Keep using it if you like, its your game, just letting you know the Hammer kinda sucks.
She’s a cunt. Honestly, hardest boss in the game for me. Gehrman was talked up to me so much but I’m undefeated against him. Rom has owned my soul dozens of times.
Looks like the rumor about youtube for switch panned out
Edit: Apparently CD project red fired a community member for some tweets that were made…not 100% certain what happened at this moment
Ahh…ok so this seems like a culmination of stuff people were offended by for earlier tweets.
Fucking finally.
I think Gasaraki was telling me the Kirkhammer sucked when he helped me out of the Forbidden Woods, but I still roll with it. It’s like the shotgun of melee weapons. Sure there’s better, but none more satisfying haha. I especially like hitting the guys carrying the sacks over the shoulders, with it.
The squid guys(Central Cathedral Plaza, Byrgenwerth) are a trip. They just sound gross AND can take hits. I feel like slime is on my arm when I fight those fucking things, haha! Game does a really good job of making it’s atmosphere pop out from the TV, from the enemies the the enviromental design.
Yeah, it sucks, but I admit it’s a ton of fun. The fully charged R2 has that baseball bat swing R2 followup that is just soooo satisfying lol
Kin are weak to both lightning AND thrust damage. Tonitrus can be a good choice just because the lightning buff is always available, but the Rifle Spear is really great too.
Also, if you didn’t buy the DLC yet you should be be high enough level to start getting into it and there’s a ton more sweet weapons in there. The difficulty spikes a few times though so might not be able to complete it til you nearly beat the game. Just make sure you don’t actually beat the game before doing it because the game automatically sends you to the next cycle
100 million copies times 60 bucks per game is…
Yea I’m not tellin you what to do.You wanna squish shit with the Kirk Hammer have a ball bro. Just making sure you know its shit lol.
I bought the DLC but what are the activation requirements? I was thinking about just beating the base game, then moving to the DLC but that doesn’t work?
No, you’ll have to basically avoid killing the last boss. Getting to the DLC is a little esoteric, to say the least. You should have picked up an item called, I THINK, the Old Hunter’s Eye or something like that. Once you have that, go to the Oeden Chapel and head out the left side and stand where you got the top hat+hunter’s armor set and uh, just let it happen lol
For all of FFXV’s issues. I thought Ardyn was really interesting antagonist. When you realize what his backstory is you realized he was right to pissed. He was a benevolent king, that fought the Starscrouge, healed his subjects, saved the world and his reward was being denied entry into the after life, having his brother vilify him, turn him people against, and steal his throne. To top it off, he’s immortal so doesn’t die. Dude got the screw job of all screw jobs. I know no good deed goes unpunished but damn man.
When you kill Vicar Amelia a Bloodshot Eyeball will appear in The Hunters Dream. Once you have it follow Gasa’s directions.
Lol, I played Kirby once after I bought it for half price from purebeast. I didn’t think it was even worth that. I like the graphics, but the game is way too easy and just wasn’t fun at all for me.
Kirby is boring as fuck. I don’t get the love what so ever.
I like Kirby and King Dedede. I want to get the one on Wii U, but the one in Switch is a cool story. shrug
