Video Game General 6.3: Sekiro has so many damn chickens man. Chickens Everywhere!

My favorite non-Zelda Zelda game is Soul Blazer on SNES. God damn I loved everything about that game. The music and sound was incredible.

I love Onimusha 3 but I don’t see how it’s a Zelda lol

Okami is a pretty solid Zelda. I haven’t played it since the ps2 days. It’s only $20 on PS4 and like $25-30 on the switch. I should pick it up and play it again.

that Omen of Sorrow trailer instantly grabbed my attention for sure…especially since there’s little to no chance that Darkstalkers will ever be a thing again. Still, I’m more into action-oriented RPG stuff in recent years as opposed to fighters though…

…which reminds me I do intend to get Soul Calibur VI at some point…probably when it is on sale. I’m assuming the customization is basically the same as it was in the previous one, which means you could still make a ton of nasty ass anatomically correct characters. Hahah I’ll never forget that she-male/tranny bitch I made with the big exposed penis and balls… and one of my friends made a bitch with giant exposed pussy lips. I made a woman with a bloody ā€œdead babyā€ hanging out too that I named ā€œMiss Carriageā€ā€¦mannnnn those were good times there. There’s no way a company wouldn’t be aware that these kinds of things will get created when you have a system that allows people to place certain shapes on the character’s body as part of the design

Gunpuru: Gunmans Proof is the best Zelda game no one played. It’s ALTTP but with cowboys and aliens.

The time travel elements and puzzles gave me an Ocarina of Time feel to the game.

Favorite Zelda - BotW

Favorite non-Zelda - BotW. Used to be Okami, but that’s been bumped to second.

It appears that the Moss/Astrobot bundle is going to be $200 on Black Friday this year. Meijer already has the price in their add but I’m sure that will be the normal price.

It doesn’t come with the PS Move controllers though. But holy shit, that is a steal. Those are literally the only 2 games I’ve ever platinum’d on PS4 and are 2 of the best games on PSVR.

My favorite Zelda is Beyond Oasis for the Genesis. It was really combat oriented with special moves like lightning legs and a really good flash kick. The bosses were huge and the challenge came from actually fighting them rather than every boss being a puzzle in disguise.

My favorite Zelda us still Majoras Mask, BOTW is the future I want for the series.

Edit: I’d even go as far as to say I don’t want them to return to classic 3D Zelda structure for a loooooooong time, if ever. I am so profoundly bored of find the 3 things so you can find the 8 things, on top of how often the dungeons are brain dead (OOTs first 3 dungeons don’t even have fucking keys), and the tools found are gimmicky as fuck and have little use outside the dungeon they are found in And a couple spots in the overworld. All the Tablet functions in BOTW are useful the entire game. Game just needs more Hyrule Castles.

So yea BOTW for the future.

I hope this gets the Sega AGES treatment by M2. I’ll probably bite on the Genesis Collection for this but I’m holding out first.

EDIT: Gris looks awesome! That’s another one to book for Switch.

I agree with this to an extent.

But what I want is s Zelda with even more unique, permanent items, in which, through the use of multiple variations of applications of one or more of said items, in different ways, one can achieve progress through the world, opening dungeons in a non-linear fashion, yet with some areas gated without at least one of a couple or more requisite options.

TL;DR:

Hard Gating sucks.

Multiple options that inspire ā€œAhah!ā€ moments, plz.

Love how SRK is the only fucking website on the internet that doesnt seem to understand how a phones fucking touch screen works. Wonderful software Mr. Wiz!

Anyway yea sure that’s fine,I’m down with item perminance tho i have 0 issues with how BOTW does itits always nice to have a permanent collection of weapons. I say fuck the gates tho. I can do without any location gating myself, but I guess if they want to do it to some small areas where need some kind of something to get inside then that’s fine. But after BOTW let me just climb anything and go anywhere I’m all for a Zelda future with 0 location gating.

Thy can bring back tools for sure, but they need the amount of use and functionality that the tablet has. I dont want 15 tools and only 5 of them are useful. I’d rather have 5 tools that cover all those bases or their functions remain useful the entire adventure then 15 tools and 10 of them are largely ignored.

If they bring back the Hookshot the amount of things it can hook to needs to be upgraded massively. It needs to embed in soft cliff sides, trees, anything made of wood frankly, so on and so fourth. And dont use fucking ā€œHOOKSHOT ME!!!ā€ Panels in the dungeons. If i need to hookshot to progress make it an organic part of the environment. Bring back puzzles and navigation that take actual observation instead of the bare minimum of slightly functioning eyes.

Yup was a great game. I also played the one for the Saturn.

Story of Thor.

Both of those are fucking fantastic games.

That is one thing that annoys me visually, are the icons for hook/grapple shots. It’s in Spider-Man and Sekiro. I guess I can almost ser the case for Spider-Man being super dense with architecture, but even then I feel like the player would be able to figure out what’s what after playing enough.

It’s distracting and ugly. Don’t see Tue reason for Sekiro. Can’t remember if it’s in Ghosts of Tsushima, but it stuck out like a sore thumb in both Spider-Man and Sekiro.

It’s possible you’ll be able to turn them off but, I don’t know how else you’d show the player where they will end up going since in Sekiro at least they are snap-to grapple points. It’s not like Lost Planet 2 where you can literally grapple anywhere/anything.

I dont mind Spidermans grapple point icons, in fact i think they are extremely tasteful and unintrusive. Thats exactly how they should be done.

How shit shouldnt be done is nearing the end of 40 hours of Mass Effect and it still tells me what button to press to open doors…I know how to open doors. Its been 40 hours, I got this. This isnt some fast paced split second reaction time shit, its a fucking door. A opens the door when I stand here, I know. Stop it. Let me turn this shit off. The Batman games are really bad about this too, I’m at the very end of the game and its still giving me on screen hints in the middle of the damn screen that double tapping A is how to use the Line Launcher. I fucking know. Stop it.

Turning these stupid kinds of prompts off should be in every options menu. Every single one of them, I dont need you to tell me how to open a door 60+ hours into your game. I got dis.
