Video Game General 6.3: Sekiro has so many damn chickens man. Chickens Everywhere!

It is still in my top 3 Zeldas ever.

ALttP is #1, and #3 is mercurial.

But 2nd place is a gatdam Adventure.

ALttP will always be #1.

My top 3 for me would probably be
Wind Waker
Links Awakening DX
A Link Between Worlds

That’s not the order I would put them in though. Different day, different answer on the order, but yeah, those are probably my top 3

For a BotW sequel I want my equipment to not be made out of toilet paper and work on better traversal options. Having to find high vantage points to glide from became a chore to me after a while. Slipping when it rained was an unneeded annoyance.

I’ll take anything BotW related.

I was thinking of hitting up the eshop on Wii U and grabbing A Link to the Past, and possibly the NES Zelda’s. The alternatives are the mini consoles and grabbing them on the Switch when available outside of Nintendo Online.

Speaking of Nintendo Online…might cave in and get it, this would mean no PS4 online. I haven’t played the Street Fighters online in a couple months nor Titanfall 2. Can’t think of anything else that I’d want to play on the system that has online play.

I’d tell you, but I don’t know what a ā€œPS4ā€ is, let alone a ā€œgameā€

The only thing beyond fighters that I would use it for would be for coop loot fun, with friends.

So, console D3 (because casual is as casual D.3s), Dragon’s Crown Lab & Tower runs, and Borderlands 2.

I enjoy all of the latter even more, when going solo (it takes a really good group of peeps to motivate me to do multiplayer).

And fighting games online are the acme of lel, shoot the shit, not serious play (because lag, input delay, absolute trash fighters spewing out of Capcpom this gen, etc et al).

I am hoping for even more good multiplayer games that support a strong single player mode with all the parts being soloable, in the near future.

Is Monster Hunter Online fully doable solo?

I think so. The monster fights scale to your party size I believe.

Just now saw that this was coming to the Switch.

Grabbed it on PS4 already, personally, but I didn’t know it would come to Switch. Now I’m thinking M2 Shot Trigger releases will actually happen

My Top 3 The Legend of Link in Two Dimensions Games:

The Adventure of Link (NES)
The Original (NES)
Link’s Awakening DX (GBC)

*Because Zelda has not done anything worthy of being called legendary.

I like the second because it has townspeople you can interact with, a decent challenge, fewest fetch quests, choice of leveling up attributes, magic spells, and platforming. I also like how you can farm enemies for HP and MP after a dungeon kicks your ass.

I like the original because it has the greatest flexibility in item acquisition dungeon completion and overworld exploration. I can still remember the first time I ventured out into the world beat the crap out of something way above my level and received a bomb for my efforts.

I like Link’s Awakening because it has a very cohesive narrative and greater mobility than other 2D Zeldas. Also, really great level design, albeit some inherent linearity.

Nomura is considering options for the compilation of FF7 titles

Illumination talks a bit about super mario bros movie

He might want to finish the FFVII remake before starts planning on anything else. Not fan of the game personally but it’s fucked up how they’ve jerked fans of game around.

FF7 Remake not being terrible would be pretty awesome, but I can’t imagine this game not releasing in some terrible state.

my fav Zelda game is Okami. :stuck_out_tongue:

Zelda tiers:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I’ve beaten it quite a few times over the years and goddamn does it ever still hold up to this day. Fantastic music, great pacing, secrets out the ass and you truly feel(and see!) Link get more powerful throughout the game with his armor --> shield --> Master SwArd upgrades. My SNES was stolen back in the day but I picked it up again on GBA later on.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX. Sadly my copy was stolen from me many years ago by the same people who robbed my ass of ALLTP but my fond memories of the game were not stolen. I loved everything about this game and I loved collecting seashells by the seashore.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I also had this stolen from me back in the day by the same d-bags who took Link’s Awakening and ALTTP(gold cartridge too) and to this day I still think it’s one of the better, if not the best 3D Zelda game overall mainly due to its pacing, and also because all of the 3D Zelda’s that came afterward had pretty much identical gameplay. I enjoyed most of the 3D Zelda games that came after, but I didn’t like them as much as OoT. Maybe one day I’ll try out ā€œMaster’s Questā€ on the 3DS version I have now.

SPECIAL MENTION TO MY FAVORITE 2D ZELDA GAME THAT ISN’T CALLED ZELDA

It even has collectibles as a shoutout to Link’s Awakening seashell collectibles so you can buy some upgraded SwArds. :sunglasses:

I can’t imagine the game being released as long as Nomura is director. It’s going to be in development hell until they get someone else.

Nomura is just immensely unreliable when it comes to actually finishing games. Only reason KH gets anything done is because Disney keeps on Square’s ass.

Just platinum’d Astrobot. That game is up there with Moss and RE7 as far as some of the most incredible video gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Just such an awesome game with so much charm and love put into it, you can tell. The only thing that sucks is I now have no reason to play it again really :frowning:

I’m coming back to America for Christmas, and I can’t wait to get my hands on that Ghost Pepper Chex Mix. Aside from curry, Japan’s spicy game is weak.

I’m impartial to Onimusha 3 myself.
