LOL @ Randy getting robbed. It’s karma for robbing Sega’s $$$ to fund Borderlands 2 instead of the Aliens: CM game while shuttering an awesome studio in the process.
It’s also karma for sending a C&D to the Duke Nukem 3D remake as well telling an old 3D Realms developer to fuck off when he wanted to release the E3 version of 2001’s Duke Nukem Forever.
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but Stuart posts just to posts even if it contributes absolutely nothing to the conversation. I’ve only ever seen that dude talk about Amiibos and that’s it.
Dude probably keeps his Amiibos next to his Funko toy collection.
Clerk let me know that she thought it was like “the Dynasty Warriors one” but ‘assured me’ that “…it’s only in the beginning but don’t worry it’s awesome after that!” Was going to go into how awesome the healing mini game looks, the OST, the modified Yakuza 0 engine and overall awesomeness was why I was buying it but I had stuff to do, and just thanked her for the ‘heads up’.
Only purchases left game wise for the year are for gifts for other people. Probably gonna skip out on Black Friday for myself this year since I AM SET, but gonna use the deals as mentioned, for gifts.

This is as far as announced titles go. Still waiting on some announcements at TGA. I’m expecting Bayonetta 3 in 2020, and the next Zelda no earlier than 2021.
From the thumbnail I’d never have guessed that this Xenon Racer looked so good.
Seems like a mix between Burnout and Ridge Racer, hopefully the controls and physics feel good.
Dead Cells is the most demoralizing game I’ve played lol. I was on a great run last night, one of the best I’ve ever had, and I got to the Time Keeper for the second time ever, and just got completely destroyed. I got him to maybe 25% health left but I wasn’t even close to getting further than that. Then bam - gone - back to the start of the game. But I want to keep playing…
I watched a video of someone playing the Time Keeper and it looks like generally speaking, I should really start leveling up my tactics more. I’ve mainly just been upgrading my melee weapons and arrows but those things powered up do a lot of damage.
yeah I focus my points between Tactics and Melee, mostly…and one of my alternate “ZR” or whatever abilities is always one of those turrets that constantly shoots arrows + the mutation that gives a damage bonus if you are close to deployed skills like that.
*sheeeeit, Megaman 11 is next up for me… I’ve watched some more vids and I like what I see. I always preferred the “classic” style Megaman to any of the X-series designs.
I just saw that Astro Bot was released yesterday for PSVR as a full game for $40. The one level they had on Playroom VR was a lot of fun to me. It’s getting fantastic reviews with comparisons to doing for platformers in VR what Mario 64 did for 3D platformers back in the day. It’s also getting comparisons to Moss. Think I’m going to pick it up in a couple hours when I run out on my lunch break.
Wait until you get to the hand of the king in dead cells. If your loadout isn’t just right you’re pretty screwed. Time keeper is pretty beatable with different builds/loadouts after some experience.
My 2 cents:
If you’re going for that build, use ice bow+ infantry bow+ ice grenade+ any turret to maximize damage output. You are essentially a glass cannon this way but once you reach the final level, you die in 2 to 3 hits regardless of how much health you have or even if you stack scrolls in survival.
Also, upgrade your forge pronto as it will drastically improve your weapon pick ups while playing. Save your cells and beat the first boss which can either be The Concierge or Conjunctivius and then dump it all into the forge. It’s very risky but also forces you to really pace yourself and learn enemy patterns. Going the Black Bridge route is a bit easier imo and each time you beat a boss yields a blueprint that you can use.
I haven’t even gotten to the Conjunctivius or whatever it’s called. I don’t even know how to upgrade the forge. Is that what you need 1000 cells for? The problem is I only see that dude once I beat the Concierge, and at that point, I only have like 12 cells or so since you have to use them all after every level in order to proceed.
