Had alot of fun with Injustice 1 and NRS seems to have used MKXL as the opportunity to revamp the netcode infrastructure.

I’m kinda curious as to why they even put Supergirl in the CG trailer since she feels redundant as hell. I figure they wanted to show at least 1 new character and have it be female but why have Supergirl if Superman is already there? Yeah sure have her in the game that’s all cool and dandy but why not have someone who doesn’t have same abilities as someone who is already there?
Xenoblade Chronicles X dropped in price and is also Delisted now. It’s on clearance for around $50 now so if you have a Wii U and you were interested in the title…you may want to consider grabbing one sooner rather than later.

You know, Watchdogs was a series that I had completely written off because the first one was such a by the numbers snoozefest. However, so far everything they have showed of the sequel looks like they took every single thing people said to heart. This went from not even on my radar to probably one of my most anticipated.
Because NRS are the masters of casual fight gaming. The story for injustice 2 doesnt mean anything. lol. Its a fighting game. This isnt DC Rebirth, and superman and supergirl are wearing super armor cause reasons. The armor is likely there for aesthetics, and if it does play an integral part of your characters fighting abilities, im sure if you want to play non armor superman, you wont be at some extreme disadvantage vs armored superman.
There is literally like no reason for the internet to be weirded out by the armor shit from the trailer. Superman has had armor a bunch of times throughout his history too. I understand its not the staple of the character, but its not like holy shit, this fighting game is ruining decades of comics.

Makes sense considering every NRS game since mk9 outside of its shitty netcode has actually been valuable as fuck for a fighting game outside of the competitive community. Most of us have no idea what its like to be a casual anymore. Im so far removed from that mental state, that i cant even imagine complaining that the story sucks in a fighting game, or enjoying that a story is good, or lack of 1p options, but for millions others, yes, this is what theyre interested in.
One of the merits of mk9 is holy shit, this game actually has a reason to play story mode. MKX has the same shit, and now with actual good netcode. Capcom has produced nothing of similar quality from a casual perspective.
NRS like to come up with story reasons for dumb shit like this. “The rage” was how Mortal Kombat characters were able to take on DC characters in MKvsDC. Pills that gave people super strength is how normal guys like Batman, Green Arrow and Joker can survive Superman punching them in the face. Yea, I expect them to pull something out their ass to justify why Superman and Supergirl need to wear armor.
I mean if you remember injustice story with all the super pills everyone is on the same level.

Looks like Bats’ armor is running off some Kryptonite variant, so the Kryptonians’ armor probably protects from that or some other such nonsense.
