Shut the fuck up William. Some MMO dev is gonna see that shit and introduce a new thing where for every hour you play a game you have to pay a dollar. That shit is mad fucking retarded.
So what, is a ten dollar meal supposed to stave off hunger for ten hours?
I’ve always thought equating dollars spent to hours played is bullshit. I’d rather have a $60 game with twenty hours of highly-engaging content as opposed to sixty hours of mundane banality. The quality of the time spent is much more important than the actual time spent.
Honestly, I never had a problem with their business practices, or any other company with same the scheme. If you like it enough, just buy it.
My gripe with Capcom is 90% of their games are shitty now and the other 10% are mediocre - decent and on top of that, it’s the same games over and over. Back in the day, they use to make great shit in wide variety. They just gave up.
Like I said, I have to WANT to spend that time on the game. The hours spent isn’t necessarily for a single play-through either.
Take Chrono Trigger for instance. Even if it doesn’t necessarily last 60-80 hours by itself, that’s not an issue because the game is great enough to warrant playing through it multiple times. And that’s not taking New Game+ into account. Same goes for the Legend of Zelda games; for me, the games are great enough to warrant playing through it repeatedly. Or Batman: Arkham Asylum/Arkham City, probably something like Shadow of the Colossus (I still wish I got to play that game), etc.
Kindly shut up. I may have a different through process but that doesn’t equate to me having a mental illness.
In this case, I mainly use this to ensure I get the best out of my money. I hate spending money, so this ensures I get the most out of what I do spend.
Technically it’d by by both of ya’lls logic but it’s going to be a person by person basis (especially those people who play fighting games for story…or play through arcade mode once and are like ‘i’m done!’). I can understand pertho’s because he’s comparing it to another form of entertainment that’s probably closest to this one.
