Capcom wasn’t all bad last gen. Dead Rising, Bionic Commando Rearmed, RE5 (though I can see why some people wouldn’t like it), HDR (another one I can see people not liking but I had a lot of fun with it). I don’t think they started really going downhill til around 2011 or so.
Soooo it appears that’s my cue to go ahead and finally get this system. I will probably already get the Bayonetta 2 purchase out of the way then, before I even have the system. Then there’s Hyrule Warriors and Wonderful 101…those will be mine as well.
DD falls into that 10% that’s mediocre to decent. Damn sure not better or even on the level of any of its contemporaries. That said, not a bad game imho.
So on a scale of 1-10, what are we honestly givin’ monster Hunter. A seven? Another “decent” game that falls into that 10%.
I mean, even shit has corn in it sometimes. Capcom had a shit load of excellent games in the past. If Capcom wasn’t makin’ great shit, they were behind decent shit at a faster rate.
If you like the combat and progression, goes to 9 from the sheer amount of actual content the game gives you. Will give you a minimum of 300~ spent playing with others while constantly fighting new bosses that aren’t all palette swaps. Combat and each individual boss has plenty of depth to them, recent MH bosses probably have the best boss AI in pretty much any game.
It fills a niche and does it REALLY well and they are still unmatched on that aspect. After all they did churn this shit out after how many years with a ton of releases.
I’ve gotten a lot of hours and fun on the (few ) games I’ve bought for $60. If a game doesn’t last me, at least, a couple years, I’m not spending money on it.
If the game is not entertaining, then I don’t really play it and eat the loss. I love doing bullshit in games. I maxxed out the hours in FF7 by just sitting around and doing all the bullshit in it. If I’m enjoying the bullshit I have to do then that’s fine.
Dudes getting mad at the way I calculate whether or not I got value out of my gaming experience. Also comparing a meal to gaming? How fucking dumb are you? Hold up, don’t answer that. I’ll just leave the thread. If anybody thinks that’s anywhere close to an apt comparison they probably came here from gamefaqs.
For the billionth time; stuff is only worth as much as you think it is. Everyone is entitled to spend their time and money doing whatever they want, but IMO it’s retarded to equate the time spent using an item to how much it’s worth dollar wise because such a standard doesn’t take into account the subjective and malleable value you affix to the item, for example I beat Gone Home in 7 hours and that time spent was much more satisfying to me than many games I’ve spent dozens of hours on.
Anyways so has anyone heard anything about Hyper Light Drifter? was pushed back to 2015, and we’re in August and total radio silence unless you’re a backer I guess, sigh I hope it doesn’t get pushed back into 2016.
Haha… that nub is nigh-useless… You’re not getting anything out of that thing. You will, however get a much better screen quality and the super-stable 3D works really well.
Except for my nub, mines is shit and defective. I need to turn it in. I had to dig my nails into it just to make it turn to the right, while my gf’s 3DS works with the slightest touch. I’ll turn it in sometime.
