Ha ha ha ha! Fuck the Xbox people, who cares if they are left out or not. Xbox one owners who never owned a PS2 or PS3 can miss out on KH III for all I care.
Not that I am enamored with KH mind you, keeping the fans waiting holding KH III like bait while Square Enix makes them buy subpar side titles for the PSP and DS.
I am not trilled the direction Nomura been taking Final Fantasy ether, I don’t care for his zipper and belt buckle fetish. It worked for Lulu from FFX but Lulu walks to the beat of her own drum.

Publisher Konami has come under fire again after Japanese newspaper Nikkei (Japanese, login required) has published a report which revealed that the publisher has stopped development on Suikoden and Tokimeki memorial, as well detailing how employees are treated. According to Nikkei, the studio formerly known as Kojima Productions were re-branded as the “8th Production Unit” in March this year, the same month reports of a fallout between the studio and Konami first surfaced.

Nikkei’s report reveals that Kojima Productions staff are restricted from accessing the Internet at work, as was first reported in GameSpot’s story in March.

Konami employees allegedly do not have their own email address; departments where communication with external parties is mandatory, such as sales, are allocated an email address consisting of random numbers and letters. This email address is supposedly changed every few months.

Lunch breaks are managed with time cards, and employees who do not adhere to prescribed break times are named and shamed. According to the report, the working status of employees is monitored through the use of cameras. Employees who did not perform to expectations could be transferred to other tasks such as assembly work, security guard duty, or cleaning the gym.

Development of the Tokimeki Memorial and Suikoden series was also reportedly halted by Konami. Popular Japanese board-game inspired series Momotaru Dentetsu will also be licensed out to Nintendo.

Also of note, the report claims that Konami has spent $80 million, as of April 2015, on the development of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

This year has been an eventful one for Konami. After reports surfaced that developer Hideo Kojima would be exiting the company after the launch of The Phantom Pain, the publisher announced it was looking for new hires to work on the next Metal Gear Solid game. Konami announced the removal of its shares from the New York Stock Exchange in April.

I didn’t even know they were working on a new Suikoden. I don’t have much hope for Konami anymore if this is the way their employees are treated. I wonder how long they’ve been operating like this?

Birth By Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, Coded, 358/2 Days, Chain of Memories are all side games. If they aren’t part of the main series then I not making the time for them.
You want to know how much I shat on Birth by Sleep, I had too look it up to see what you are even talking about Lord William 1234. Reading the Wikipedia article makes my head hurt.

I say it this way, I don’t want Monday Night Raw, I want Royal Rumble, I want Rage in a Cage to make a return (its what happen if you make all of Royal Rumble into a Steel Cage match).
Too bad Rage in a Cage only existed as a Sega CD game.

Hell depending how they handled KH III, I might pass this one up as well.

What makes them side games outside of not having a number on their titles? Birth By Sleep and 3D in particular are extremely important and setup plots that we will see in KH3. Fuck, it was difficult to follow the plot of KH2 if you didn’t play Chain of Memories beforehand.

Lol… BBS and 3D are definitely part of the main story.

If I had an Xbone I’d be all over that.

the only kh games i enjoyed were 1,2, and 3d with 2 being my least favorite.
the story just became a whole bunch of oh hey let’s see what else we can pull out of our ass.
xehanort is pretty cool though.
chain of memories and 358/2 were probably the worst in the series. recoded was…ok.

I actually enjoyed 358/2 days quite a lot. That game’s part of the reason Roxas is my 2nd favorite VG character.

I really didn’t like Chain of Memories at all. Wasn’t a fan of the card battle system…

I stopped giving a fuck about KH plot with the second game. It would have been better to keep things simple like the first game. Disney properties are still the main draw for me and I never cared for Sora, Riku, the girl they fight over, Organization XIII and the heartless and nobody garbage. Give Pixar Worlds and Frozen and I’ll be happy.

I don’t like Chains either. II is still my favorite, I like the combat quite a bit, especially in the Final Mix. BBS is creeping up behind it tho, liking it quite a bit. I like KH1 a lot to. 358/6 Days was pretty bad imo, and I’m also not a fan of Chains, tho the PS2 “port” is much more tolerable imo.

I haven’t played any of the others.

Edit: On the story, ever since the beginning it’s been nothing but a endless stream of ass pulls so that doesn’t really bother me, I know to expect it, the narrative stuff that bothers me is stuff we are told that is clearly not true. Bugged the mother fuckin shit out of me in KHII for them to take so much time telling me Nobodies have no emotions when it’s EXTREMELY obvious that they do. I wouldn’t have minded this if Sora had the balls to actually question what was an obvious falsehood, be it that he was lied to, or that Yen Sid really didn’t know and was wrong, but no Sora just spends the whole game being a colossal asshole and constantly yelling in these dudes faces that they have no emotions so it’s ok for him to (ironically) heartlessly kill them. This would have been a great opportunity to send a message about it being ok to question the things people tell you, and to think for yourself (It’s primarily a kids series after all, this a good message to send the younger audiences that this series is aimed at) but instead they just let Sora run around like a good little puppet and off people cuz someone else told him. Good little assassin.

Drives me nuts, that’s way way worse they any ass pull the series has ever used. Still fun to play tho, I get to kick ass with Genie, like come on that’s sick as hell.
