I love Uncharted 2 but I probably wouldn’t call the series the best series of modern gaming.
I’ll give that to Yakuza.
Also we really do need a new Contra game.
Uncharted doenst autoplay itself but its very STREAMLINED, they dont allow you to deviate and there are lots of cutscenes and moments that force you to be disoriented or to crawl/stumble/walk/fall…
Its just annoying.
Neo Contra was so weird, yet it was still awesome. It was more similar to top-down shooters like Smash TV and Total Carnage.
I never played any of the PS1 Contra games even though I’d really like to. One day…
Edit: I’m more of a traditional Contra kind of guy. I’d take Contra 1-4 and SS over either Hard Corps games and Neo Contra. I find both Hard Corps games to be weird as hell. 
I like Neo Contra. I never got into Shattered Soldier, that game pissed me off but I really liked Neo.
I was so excited about The Order but the sad truth is that we are now in an age of gaming where companies are just as sleezy and deceptive as car salesmen. They hype these games up with no innovation and nothing new at the table, pulling the best things about previous games and wrapping them in in a fresh new watered down product. Its disgusting.
Nothing about The Order looks remotely new or interesting, and I suspect the reviews will show that. I cracked up when he was describing “blacklight mode” without saying “slow-mo” by the way. I like how devs try their best to describe old things with as many new words as possible.

The E3 trailer made it seem like it was going to be like a Van Hellsing type thing with the steampunk technology in 1800s London.
And that hype soon subsided.
So much wasted potential this era. I look at dev interviews just to get a hard on at all the lies and ways they try to sensationalize now.

Hopefully David Cage and Uwe Boll announce a surprise E3 deal with each other this year, thus creating the worst thing ever. They should beat off into the crowd while putting up the finger as well.

@crotchpuncha You’re seriously missing out in one of last gen’s best games Contra 4 is probably my favorite in the series, the dual screens really enhance the tension, since the human eye can’t look at two things at once and WayForward take advantage of that you will die a lot
Neo Contra was kinda shitty and lazy, but still fun and addictive since you are motivated to get 100% kills like Shattered Soldier which is a great game too, but way overhyped.
And yes @Sonicabid IMO Uncharted is one of the best franchises of last generation, maybe it’s you with the taste cancer :tup:

Lol. Shooters never left people just dont play them because new gamers dont know what it means to grind and level up. They want to be GDLK after the tutorial section. Thats why they dont play arcade games, RPGS and fighters.
