Wouldn’t recommend it. Cool bosses but combat wise, you’re more or less doing full screen auto attacks after stacking 3~ of the same debuff the entire game.
They don’t give you new powers from bosses, only different debuff guns that only change the arc, formation and amount you can stack at the same time still max 3 per target or so but generally you’ll be using the default the entire game barring a couple bosses.
You get some supers but they’re pretty boring as well.
Pretty mediocre/sub mediocre after playing through the whole game with only the bosses barely redeeming the game for me. You can take a peek at the combat through a playthrough and if that’s your thing go for it.
I probably would have liked it a lot more if there were more any alternative main weapons that deviate from the current gameplay.

and smash will be the first.
