I wonder how sales are gonna be and I wonder whats gonna happen if this shit hits mainstream news outlets in terms of hatred. Again the violence in it is nothing new, its just that literally playing a game where you are basically playing someone like Elliot Rodger, Columbine kids, or etc throws people off. Like Madworld was brought up, and that’s brutal but the context of tthe game isn’t uncomfortable to people.
But overall again i don’t think its the violence its literally a context. If the game was “your a monster/alien, etc. to come kill innocent people” i don’t think it would disturb people as much because thats what we’d actual expect monsters to do. But yeah we’ll just see what happens
Thats how most people play GTA anyway. What I want to know is if this game has any substance? any challenge whatsoever? Is it made just to offend people? Thats about as effective as Capcom’s reason for rereleasing DMC. Might as well make Tameem apart of the project.
I hate when people use everything other than the game itself to sell it.
Some games are all about catharsis via over-the-top gorn where you skip the story, and play the game. (Even if it IS well-written.)

I got to chapter 3 of Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney today. been playing passingly. While they havent included any staple characters from either series, they definitely dont miss the opportunity to cram in as many references as possible to happenings in their own games. At least on the Ace Attorney side anyway. Maya’s broken out with a few “Hey, pal!” lines already. Blue Badger is a recurring thing.
