It’s not even a real MMO… It tries to be, but it isn’t. It’s missing too much, and there are too many limitations.
I thought Destiny was more like an action RPG ala borderlands or Diablo considering it’s missing some things that MMOs have.
That’s what it is, with forced online-only gameplay and very limited player interaction. The difference is… Borderlands and Diablo do it better. The only reason this game is allowed to be called an MMO is because you’re always online and other players inhabit the same world as you. That’s it. The new Raids bring it closer to an MMO, but it’s still severely lacking.
Don’t get me wrong, though… Destiny isn’t a bad game, it’s just underwhelming. The best way to describe it is “incomplete.”
Yeah, waiting in this case is cool, but I’m so~orta in the hype mode right now, but it’s crazy seeing the backlash on it, a week in. Not even sure what the Destiny thread turned into, lol!
GOTY will be out when I can finally decide on one of the twins.
Probably gonna wait for GOTY edition for Smash Wii U as well.
I…wouldn’t wait for that…not until there is evidence that they would do something like that. Nintendo has yet to release any type of ‘ultimate’, ‘complete’, or ‘Goty’ versions of their games that have gotten DLC.

When’s Versus?
We’re way past that point. Publishers realized they can piecemeal content with the advent of digital distribution on consoles, sell said content to people eager to buy-in early for the next big thing, and then a sell a whole game to those who didn’t bite the first time around.
Savvy people who catch-on are good enough to save money and get the full game at a reasonable price. Not saying everyone who buys early is a sucker or every game released is incomplete, but consumers should at least take advantage of publishers who wouldn’t hesitate to do the same to us.
I was bummed to see MG:R have DLC, despite the game rocking socks. I blame that on Konami, not Platinum. Sucks it happened to Psycho Break, with the Seasons Pass, bs. On the flip side it makes more time for Bayo2.
VF5:FS and KOF XIII are the only times I’ve bought DLC. Comtemplating Mario Kart 8, but I dont know…
I dunno Vanquish had dlc. MGR also had an incredibly short dev timex that DLC could very well have been cut content they wanted to finish.

Apparently, Game Informer broke the embargo. GameSpot had an article up, but it seems to be down. IGN’s gonna let it rock.
The demo is going to be included with Type 0. This is is gonna be ZOE all over again where you only buy the game for the MGS demo.

Yeah! Starwars the old republic and Elder Scrolls Online had issues at launch, but nobody expected them to go free to play or die out quickly!

I REALLY hope that Square goes the extra mile and puts the Versus XIII demo on its own disk included with your purchase of Type 0. Please, please don’t give me a PSN voucher, I want a hard copy with some cool box art! I want to be that guy 10 years from now showing off his original copy of Type 0 which came with a playable demo of Versus XIII as a gift. I wannabe that guy!
