Video Game General 2.0: Yo Dawg I Heard You Like Remasters And Ports

Better =/= financially more sound.

M$ is all about dat paypuh. Smart business move.

isnt that the same thing that happened with skype? MS buying them after it was on psp already?

All I have to say about this is let the next Iphone come out without the music app and photo viewer while disallowing USB connection to PCs, and let them stay unavailable for like a year. I’d love to see people say “Apple focused on making a phone. It makes phone calls!”

man, I love it when people start reaching

I have no faith in NoA to bring this over here.

Yeah, Nintendo has been doing its best Sega impression for the last few years…

If that game gets localized i will buy a Wii U

Get your pedantic and autistic ass outta here with that ish.

Xbone Japanese Launch figures are uh…yyyyeaaahhh…

To the surprise of nobody in particular. But hey…Titanfall got a near 1:1 attach rate on the console.

Destiny ‘sells in’ $500 Mill on the first day

money it made selling the game to retailers and not consumers.

And here are Japanese sales figures for last week including Xbone’s numbers

It at least made 2nd? Couldn’t boot the 3DS out of it’s 1st place spot though. Wii U and PS4 are starting to even out after Wii U had been outselling it for the past few months.

I hope they change the camera UI. Seeing the Gamepad as the camera takes me out of it every time.

RE Revelations 2 will be released as four weekly episodes

:bluu: $5.99 per ep, $24.99 for a season pass. So I guess we’ll be seeing the return of the “previously, on X-Men” bumpers. And unlike most season passes, this one is actually slightly more expensive than buying piecemeal, but you get some bonus content or some shit.

Eh, I guess this is for the best. I already swore off buying Capcom PC ports day-one after the “meh” job they did on Dead Rising 3. Having Rev 2 released in batches like this just makes it that much easier to uphold that stance.

Sigh.

Probably skip Revelations 2 if it doesn’t have raid mode which it sounds like it wont if they’re doing this weekly episode shit.

Do what I do and just wait until all the episodes are done and dive in. It’s what I do with Telltale games.

I did that with WD Season 1, but I will probably skip WD Season 2. I just don’t like this episodic shit with games, and the only reason I have to get Revelations 2 is the Raid mode, and this episodic shit worries me that it won’t make it in.

The first Revelations was episodic, it just didn’t break up the game into pieces. I doubt it will remove Raid Mode. What’s likely to happen is not getting all the stages and weapons for it until all four episodes drop.

Thats some old bullshit right there, where the fuck did the days when you could simply buy a full game, put it in your console and have the full fucking game go?

Oh they are still right now, as long as you avoid certain dogshit publishers.

You can still do that. The disc will come shortly after all the episodes have been released digitally. You can still purchase the game the way you want.

They went no where, you can buy the vast majority of games as full packages.

They added this little chart & blurb on the Capcom blog

*Retail disc version includes further gameplay content in addition to the content included in the Complete Season

So if you really want this game, go retail. Cue the fretting that Raid Mode is locked away as bonus content :stuck_out_tongue:

i’d say that if nintendo’s strength is its first party franchises, then nintendo still has problems.
