In regards to Resident Evil talk earlier, I dont care if they bring back Wesker, because they dont know how to make a villain anymore that isnt like Wesker. Simmons in 6 was pretty much Wesker with a shittier plan, a death wish, the mentality of a pussy whipped bitch(LOVE ME ADA), and the ability to become a human transformer. Which was metal as hell btw
The combat was pretty lame though.
Also guys, dont hail Revelations as some kind of series changer. That game was SUPER rough around the edges. Shitty collision detection, bad hitboxes, and common enemies made of adamantium among other things. The concept of the game was great but it needed a lot more time in the oven.
Didn’t MK9 outsell nearly every fighter of last gen including the heavy hitters like MVC3,tekken and all the follow ups to SF4?
Can’t really see how no one cares about it when it was 1 of the best sellers in the genre over the last few years. I’d be more worried over the state of affairs concerning the SF series cause the casuals don’t give a fuck at all about USF4.
I think the only fighter that outsold MK9 last gen was Super Smash Bros Brawl (the highest selling fighting game of all time), I don’t think Injustice sold as much as MK9 but it also did extremely well. Mortal Kombat is an incredibly well known and attractive brand to consumers despite being a part of the niche fighting game market.
So yeah people are going to care about Mortal Kombat X when it’s announced that goes without saying, the real question we should be asking is has Netherrealm learnt enough from their past two games to be able to craft a game that consumers both hardcore and casual should care about.
As for Ultra Street Fighter 4 it’s definitely not going to sell as well as vanilla or super, I see it landing around AE levels of sales, however since the budget for it is likely a lot lower than previous updates due to them being able to reuse a large amount of assets from Street Fighter X Tekken I can still see it being decently profitable, I do think this should be the last version of Street Fighter 4 (sans probably a free rebalance after a year ala SSF4AE 2012).
SWBeta put me on ignore+deleted me off PSN because I sonned him repeatedly in shitty PS3 fighting games while taking a virtual dookie on his favorite garbage games he talks about playing on these forums.
Dude’s one of most sensitive posters I’ve seen on here. Plus, who’s gonna turn down an ONLINE 1v1 match where win or lose nothing of value was lost?
I put you on ignore and deleted you off PSN because you’re an insufferable fucking twat who posts nothing but diarrhea. Had nothing to do with our MvC3 matches, which I enjoyed. If you just stopped posting your shit taste in games and just played whatever you wanted, we wouldn’t have problem. Your posts make my eyes bleed and my IQ lower (and it seems that I’m not the only one), so I ignored you and deleted you, simple as that.
I agree. Whenever I try to pull out SSF4AE, someone wants me to put on Mortal Kombat instead. It’s really just the gore and shit like that. It’s still got decent gameplay mechanics, but since the shit that you do in that game looks like it hurts, people automatically wanna play that (casually, at least).
Who the fuck used sales as argument in MK9’s case?
Retards might have eaten that shit up, but the community - both online and offline - withered away in the matter of 6 months. Shit already was getting cracked open like an egg from the start; applying too many patches and season pass DLC.
Then comes Injustice in the baby carriage. Not as bad, but still clunky moving like a downs.
I thought Leon and Helena had the strongest chapter as well, but I like how the other 3 parts pulled the entire story together.
It was a bit messy but I dont see how they could have done it any other way and still cater to people who enjoyed the classic horror as well as the more modern action/adventure.
To be honest Leon’s chapter wasnt “scarier” nor was it more like classic RE. But the faint presence of what they were TRYING to accomplish was an A for effort.
All Resident Evil needs to do is give less ammo on pickups and make health items more rare. It’s a guns-a-blazing thing going on.
Talking about sales is disingenous. MK9 sold more than any single version of SF4 which is what causes MK fans to break their arms jerking themselves off. All iterations of SF4 should be taken as a whole when talking about sales because otherwise it acknowledges Capcom’s cannibalization of their own sales (sales they still got). As a whole SF4 sold nearly 7 million.
