The main thing I’ve wanted to be improved in the AC series is for stealth and exploration to be more encouraged with more options, and for straight up combat to be discouraged by making it significantly more difficult (with more enemies there are making it exponentially harder) and less brain-dead.
But that very likely won’t happen because the higher ups will fear actually having to be sneaky will scare away the casual audience (despite that they could easily continue to cater for them by adding difficulty options for once) and the game will continue to lack in challenge in most areas.
LOL Assassin’s Creed…
LOL @ the words “Ubisoft” and “try” being used in the same sentence non-ironically.
No, I don’t care if you’re butthurt because I insulted the laziest series this side of Madden.
What’s the difference between Unity and Rogue?
unity is about a gameplay experience rogue is about narrative
Oh boy another new Yakuza game we don’t get to play because Sega is fucking garbage when it comes to localizing their games in the west.
Seriously feel mad depressed over this. First no Yakuza 5, then no Ishin now no Zero.
Remember how when Ubisoft first put out Splinter Cell, it was that new shit to stealth games because of light/sound detection? Then how 8 years later they turned it into a 3rd person shooter where you occasionally choke hold somebody? Dont expect Ass Creed to go anywhere near stealth in your life time.
Honestly though when I was doing the training course for the first SP when I was little I was like “Woah. The enemies can hear me when I step on certain things? Thats cool!”
Speaking of Stealth games, Dishonored is still a jolly good time. The multitude of different paths and ways to handle things is something I love. Was one of my favorite parts about Farcry 3 as well.
Man, fuck price gouging in my country.
No need to trip and I’m the biggest Sega fanboy here. Dude’s have a company to run and this is the smartest they’ve run it in a longtime. Making money on games in the West, by publishing PC titles and buying PC devs. Not bothering with console and arcade game localizations since only Japan buys/funds their good games. Can’t blame 'em.
Gonna get back my Saturn and Dreamcast collection back sometime at the end of this year, mid-next year at the latest.
Ah no wait I thought they where bringing Ishin over. LAst i heard a few months ago it was coming here, did something change?
Love Yakuza series, but I can very easily see it not being worth Sega’s time/money in localizing them. It obviously has a very niche audience here, & it doesn’t help that most of the games are loaded with celebrity VAs/likenesses & product placements that only really matter in Japan, but must still be paid for.
Yakuza 4 has gone up a lot in price lately. Sucks too, it’s the only game from the main series that I don’t own.
Guess I’ll get Yakuza: Dead Souls at some point.
Dark Souls 2 and Wolfenstein: TNO were the best games of 2014.
We need to play through a Souls game together at some point Abid.
Ishin has been out in Japan for like 2 years now and still no word on a NA release.
Dude, Ishin is a PS4 launch title in Japan. It’s only been around for 6 months.
Did it? Thought it came out on ps3 first.
Both versions of the game were released on the same day.
I’ve played the demo of Isshin and that game is extremely Japanese, lol. I would take a tremendous amount of effort to translate all that shit, probably more effort then it’s worth, honestly. I’d love to see the game come stateside, but don’t count on it
Legend of Korra release date and new mode
new mode is Pro Bending and there’s a developer commentary vid of how it looks and works. PSN gets the game 0ct.21 and XBLive gets it Oct. 22
As I said in another thread…if only Pro Bending could’ve had a Multiplayer option.
