Came in here to talk MGS and I see a buncha dumbfucks swordfighting with their dicks and splashing their fluids all over the thread because not only are they soft, they’re too stupid to differentiate between opinion and fact. Take that shit to PM, or just play what you like and shut the fuck up.
Back on topic, @Sonichuman, MGS5 sins of the father trailer is good, but not the most gdlk, hype shit. After seeing that trailer for the first time, all I thought was “Damn… this game’s gonna be fucked up” and that’s it. After seeing that MGS3 trailer I linked for the first time, I blacked out, and when I woke up, my room was torn apart and I was buck ass naked. Checked my heart rate and it was so high I almost called 911. Don’t even remember wtf happened when I blacked out. Now that’s true hype.
Heard rumors that RE7 will have Barry mothafuckin’ Burton and Claire Redfield in starring roles. But I also heard Wesker is returning and that The Hive is a thing for the game.
I am thinking someone mixed this up with the new movie (Blegh) coming out. But I would like to see Barry Burton in a starring role that is canon, Gaiden doesn’t count.
I would like a new RE to (1) be a survival horror game again. Either base it on REmake or RE4, I’m good either way. And (2) to not have a completely retarded story.
While I like them both (Who doesn’t) they do deserve a break unless it is something really centered on one of them. I’d like to see some forgotten characters be used or utilized like Carlos Oliviera, Billy Coen, Barry Burton, or Rebecca Chambers.
I just wish Resident Evil: Revelations did better to convince Capcom it is a better path to take. Game had some problems, but it was a genuinely good game and had a strong supporting cast and atmosphere. RE6 was the only RE title I had to force myself to complete, was a mess and just to much and I still haven’t finished Wesker Jr and Sherri’s campaign nor do I want to.
Chris especially, I didn’t like his turn in RE6 as a more brooding individual and more or less a haggard drunk. I can understand why he turned out that way but it was sad to see Capcom take him in that direction. Didn’t help that their was an undertone of what happened to Jill that was never resolved either and Chris ended up eventually back in the same spot he was in the beginning.
I really didn’t like Revelations. The controls were okay and I liked how dodging was implemented. But it was not meant to be a multi-platform release. The episodic game design is a big clue that this was meant to be an exclusive to handhelds. But it certainly had its moments. The final boss battle could be the best boss battle in all of RE.
which really didn’t bother me considering Alan Wake and Deadly Premonition took a similar route, and if I am not marathoning a title it is nice to get a little update when revisiting the title instead of being lost or relying on my memory.
I stopped after 4 so that would explain it. Still, it really didn’t benefit the game much. Especially when there’s dramatic shift in tone and gameplay and it only lasts 5 minutes. Plus I really didn’t give a fuck about the other characters.
