Video Game General 2.0: Yo Dawg I Heard You Like Remasters And Ports

Those mega man collections suck. Seriously the spawn points are messed up. The music is messed up. There’s a reason why atomic planet never got to finish that gameboy collection on gba. They fucked up so bad I heard capcom didn’t want to work with them again.

dual shock controllers have 0f return to neutral (not sure if its been tested on DS4 yet) this is why most people just stick to Dual shock for Tekken because stringing together multiple WD’s or even basic KBD/BDC’s require rapid neutral inputs among other things. The only reason people play the game on stick is because they have access to a cab and said cab is how they typically play together or if a player has aspirations to play overseas where it’s likely you will have to play on a cab.

Saw today that no man’s sky is a timed PS4 exclusive and that PC version is imminent

had me feeling mad neogaf

Speaking of platformers here’s Gunvolt stuff:

Ignoring the DarkStalker theme, that controller is one of the best controllers for pad players for the PS1/PS2.
It is a near carbon copy of the Sega Saturn Controller, modified just enough for playstation use.

Im happy No Mans Sky is coming to pc.

Thought that was obvious?

And I always thought I was the only one who disliked this current “crafting” fad that’s going in gaming today, guess I was wrong. I’m okay with crafting items as an optional or minor mechanic, but when you base an entire game off crafting and my fun is determined by how much time I spend grinding items then you lost my interest.

The FUCK is this shit? @Sonichuman

I’ve only heard about that at a glance and haven’t heard anything about it internally from the company. If the law enforcement asked them to do it then it’s whatever for me personally. I don’t put stuff like this at the fault of GS because from being around on the other side of the counter for so long it got ridiculous (especially in the city of Richmond) to have someone complaining that someone jumped into their house and stole all of their gaming stuff just about every week. And in the Richmond City limits they have to take your picture along with all of your license information because of the Richmond law, AND THAT STILL DOESN’T DETER DUMBASSES. It’s sad that laws and stuff get changed up and it ends up effecting everyone just because a few people can’t keep their hands off of shit that don’t belong to them. I look at it this way…if I was the victim and all of my stuff got taken, I’d want to help the cops in anyway to help get my stuff back and to catch the fucker who took it.

It isn’t something that’s going to become widespread as far as I know. Even if it was though, there are things that people can and will get mad at the company about and I don’t believe this is one of them. My 2 cents though.

Dan Adelman leaves Nintendo and puts them on blast to go indie.

“I had been strongly encouraged to stay off of Twitter—or at least say only things that were clearly safe—so after the region-locking comment they just said I needed to stop completely,” Adelman said. “When people started complaining that I wasn’t active on Twitter anymore, it was suggested that a PR person could just post in my name. I thought that was about the worst idea I’d ever heard, so I left it as is and let the silence speak for itself.”

“There were people whose job it was to look up addresses in Google maps to see if the business address was a home or an office building. And if it looked a little residential, they’d ask for photos. There would be e-mail threads with literally a few dozen back and forth exchanges about whether the couch in someone’s office was really used for business purposes or did someone really live there? That policy, thankfully, is gone”

Nintendo you fucked up treating such an integral part of your company like shit and letting him go, but INB4 Po defends Nintendo.

LOL I shit on all companies equally when they do something stupid(except Capcom, fuck them)… I only defend Nintendo as much as I do because this forum would otherwise be a Sony circle-jerk along with the few delusional people who still believe in Microsoft.

Nintendo being dumb and oblivious to the internet is nothing new… That office furniture policy is very Capcom-esque in its retardedness…

I walked into a Gamestop the other day for the first time in a while.

Sly Cooper 4(PS3) was 30 bucks used/44.99 new. I bought the game for $10 new over a year ago.

A huge majority of their games were overpriced compared to any other store I frequent(Future Shop, BB, random pawn shops, literally any place that sells games.)

This is why the only time I ever walk into a GS is when they’re having some kind of crazy sale. Shit, even then I usually just get one of these other stores to price match them.

I bet if @SonicHuman didn’t get free promotional shit from there/10% employee discounts or whatever it is that he wouldn’t work there out of shame for working for a terrible company.

Never forget them selling gutted games as “new.” Yeah the game’s gutted, but see the white sticker? That means its new VS the yellow sticker representing that it’s used!

I HATE that shit… When I buy a new game, I want it NEW… That means unopened, still in the plastic. They got that shit open, with the dumb ass sticker that fucks the case up, and they want me to pay the full retail price? If I buy a game day 1 and trade it in on day 2, the MOST I’m getting out of it is $30. 50% of the value is gone because I opened it, but they don’t even want to discount $5 when they do that shit.

However, I did get a new wireless headset today at a discounted price because it was listed in the computer as Used(along with the sticker) for some odd reason. :bgrin:

So Iwata is the last “Real Gaming Nigga” left on the board, and they want him gone so they can go full Capcom retard on this smartphone game fad bullshit?

Fight, Iwata! Fight for everlasting peace!

I don’t know about this report. It’s saying management is trying to remove Iwata. So in other words, employees are trying to fire their boss? How does that work?

Go to any other store that sells video games and compare prices on new or used. Shit, go to Amazon even.

You’ll save money. Guaranteed.

Subverting your superiors isn’t all that uncommon. Don’t know if that’s what they are trying to say…

But i think it comes down to shareholders, and i’m sure there are plenty of people inside nintendo that own stake in the company. The shareholders are ultimately the presidents boss, and collectively they could force him out. Its just more or less getting enough shares on your side.

mobile would obviously be a bad idea. but i’m sure that’s not the main point of contention on him being outed. its probably him not having a better idea to turn around 3 years of operating losses.

Iwata is the only person NOW I respect at Nintendo.

Nintendo going through a slump right now and everyone wants Iwata’s head. Other companies are in a worse state than Nintendo and don’t see anyone calling for the heads for their CEOs.

Damn… Nintendo wants Iwata out so they can BS things like mobile games… It’s like Disney once it got into the hands of men like Micheal Eisner.
