The game is boring, repetitive, and lackluster. I don’t like it, and that’s that. It’s not about hating classic archetypes or whatever else you guys are going to fabricate to make me seem like the bad guy for not thinking it’s worth my money. If it had better customization options and broader combat mechanics, it would likely be easier for me to get into. As it is, however, the game just feels…lacking… Like it’s missing something. When the game got announced, I checked it out and wasn’t interested. It wasn’t until the release date started closing in that I saw the hype you guys had for it and it started to pique my interest. I didn’t end up getting it on release, but my friends did and I played it that way. I tried and tried to like the game, but it just wouldn’t click.
How can I go and spend money on it now? The only hope that’s left for it now is PS+, which would give it the opportunity to earn my respect, therefore making me interested in purchasing a sequel. IIRC, they said a sequel wasn’t happening, but whatever.
So I’m watching the Vanquish series on the Yo VideoGames! channel. I feel like I really slept on this game. Im tempted to run out and buy it tomorrow. Looks fun as fuck for now.
Oh, well yeah you won’t find anything because I made it. Lol.
Unless you mean the render itself in which you just
have to not use google, and use bing. “Kill la kill mako render”
Didn’t you just say you were playing Persona?
No I’m making you seem like a bad guy because you are selling a good game far to short in a place that aint the unpopular gaming opinion thread.
How much customization do you really need?
[details=Spoiler]
You have an open ended air to ground juggle system
Parry mechanic
Item tossing
Just Evades
Running air dashing
Diverse character roster
Item usage
Challenging bosses
A tower mode
Custom character loadouts
They even let you name your character and display how their font sits over top of their image, and Custom quotes for when other motherfuckers see you. And you can take dead niggas and bury them to take loot from em or ressurect them and put them on the set.[/details]
That’s fine do what you need to do but don’t tell me you can find enjoyment playing something that’s been out since 2007 over a new IP that is the best things that happened to beat em ups in a while.
Combo_Knight… Are you really telling me that Dragon’s Crown is better than P4 because it’s newer? Like, really? The game is boring… It doesn’t matter when it came out. I should expect this, however, since you’re a huge fan of Ragnarok Odyssey and that game is pure ASS™, but you think it’s better than Monster Hunter. There’s also the chance you’re implying that I’ve been playing P4 since '07, which I haven’t. I started the series with P4G when I got my Vita a couple years ago. If I’m gonna drop $20 on a Vita game, I’m dropping it on P3P, not Dragon’s Crown.
Persona is of a different genre, so I don’t know why we’re even comparing them, but P4G is indeed the better game. You can’t even argue with that. It offers A LOT more as far as content and quality goes.
A lot of the mechanics you mentioned are class specific, IIRC. They’re not things everyone has access to. The customization is severely lacking… I want custom color palettes(hair, eyes, skin, etc…), clothing options, hair options, voice options… Basically what Soul Sacrifice Delta offers. That’s the bare minimum of what I look for in regards to character customization.
Unpopular opinions… . I thought by now you’d realize that I don’t care about what everyone else thinks. I’m the one spending the time and money on the game, so the only opinion that matters is my own. The game is boring, IMO. I’m just telling the truth here. Maybe it’s just the genre that I’m not feeling, but there are specific things outside of that that make me feel this way.
And there is the disconnect. You are playing a recycled game. To you it may be fresh but that’s like if Arcsystems gave us BlazBlue CS or Disgea 3 when there were sequels on the way…

Besides airdashing parrying and just evades everyone has those qualites. And the majority carry at least 2/3 and make up for what they don’t have with a trai to match it.
You are essentially giving the character some flavor not crafting them from clay, which is still a welcome addition, With your logic
Streets of Rage was horrible becauise there was no way to make Adam blonde and white with a japanese voice over.
You shouldn’t play SF4 either cause you can’t get a custom palette in that. You are welcome to try CvS 2 though.
Oh since we wanna get into player history, don’t you find your criteria to be hypocritical when Pokemon doesn’t even meet all those standards completely? I mean let’s be real you don’t have any features that define you from other trainers, the clothing is so limited that it could be considered a palette swap itself, and you can’t personalize the creatures you capture past naming them.
But that’s some new nigga way of thought, that 2 frame delay type thinking.
Caring about your own opinion is fine and do your own thing first and foremost.
I just find it hilarious that you tear games down like the rest of us and then wanna act brand new when it’s you that gets put under the microscope.
This discussion has logical fallacies all over the place lol.
My point is that the age of the game doesn’t take away from the quality of it. You know this… I know this… We ALL know this. I mean, look at where we are. Persona 4 Golden is an updated version of Persona 4 that came out in 2007. I know that. However, your stance makes it seem like the game is bad because of that fact, which couldn’t be farther from the truth. Again, I don’t know why this has become P4 vs Dragon’s Crown, but I’d like for you to explain to me why you’re bashing that game anyhow. I’ve explained why I don’t like DC, so give me something other than, “…but you play Persona.”
The 3 things you mentioned that the entire cast doesn’t have access to are the most important. These are basic movement and defensive options that should be universal in some form.
Here we go… . You’re warping my argument all over the place and replacing what I actually said with things that don’t even make sense.
I didn’t say it was a bad game because of the lack of customization options. It’s just a drop in the sea of negatives. I also meant voices as in type, not language. Never said anything about wanting Japanese VO’s.
SF4 is not an RPG. I am not creating a character to represent myself as the player, therefore I do not need to customize the hell out of Cammy. Anything they do add to a fighter to make it more customizable is only a plus, never a negative if it isn’t there.
As far as Pokemon goes… It’s the nature of the game. Games of that type do not allow a whole bunch of customization because the focus is somewhere else. At least X/Y started to allow you to customize your trainer, but that’s not what I’m looking for when I play those games. In a game like Dragon’s Crown where you select a class and the appearance comes with it, there needs to be something there to allow me to differentiate my character from the next guy’s aside from a simple name change and palette swap. They could’ve done more, but they didn’t. If you want to praise the game, go ahead, but your opinion means nothing if you can’t admit its faults.
How am I acting brand new? You guys are getting all defensive because I don’t like Dragon’s Crown. You’re the ones that started attacking Persona, which isn’t even of the same genre, out of pure spite. You got it backwards… We ALL tear down games…correct. However, now that it’s a game you like under this “microscope,” you’re catching feelings. This is the same shit you guys did when I said TLoU, a game that’s praised as the second coming of Jesus, is fun to watch but isn’t something I’d like to play.
I’m sick right now and ain’t gonna mince words. Y’all niggas need to get a room and fuck or something. Over here arguing about persona and shit being weeaboos for shitty Jap games. I’m going back to my painkillers and better not see animu shit when I get back.
Why don’t they just stop being cheap-asses and just give us the Artbook+OST as a preorder bonus/LE, and give us the actual game in a regular case with it?
I didn’t even know KH2.5 HD had Birth by Sleep bundled with it. It’s the one KH game I need to play. I might have to reconsider skipping the collection.
