I have seen the light of gaming transactions at a mom and pop store.
I went to a locally owned store I havent heard about until recently. I traded them Doom 3 BFG Edition and Lightning Returns. Got $25. At gamestop I wouldve been lucky to get $8. They woulda been like “Yo BFG Edition is 2 years old. We can give you 80 cents in store credit, but a whole dollar if you’re a rewards member!”

Just be glad you have a decent store around. Plenty of people don’t have that luxury.

EDIT: Anybody know how difficult it is to set up game streaming with a 360? I just want to do it for random shit like @SWBeta does on occasion, but with less running from niblets.
Want HD Capture? Get an HD capture card. like 100+
After that you’ll just need some shit so you can play on your tv still. Unno what else you’l need so you need to ask Beta on that since I dont capture HD games.
SD Capture is like 20-50 for the device and then like another 10-20 for the cords so you can play on the Teevee and get audio.

Shovel Knight was hella easy the first time around. New Game+ tho is slightly annoying, lol.
From my experience all 90% of game stores suck. They purposely ruin resale value. I have 2 franchises in my city other than GS and both put more stickers on CD cases and cartridges than GS ever did. If you want premium games go to eBay. If you’re unsatisfied you have a company that’s more than twice as powerful than any game store.
They are better for trade ins though. eBay gets 10% off top always.
Sony Uncertain About Future of AAA Western Games on Vita.
Sony just don’t give a fuck about trying no more since ps4 got a huge boost off their counter attack against MS at last year’s e3. Handhelds never really had western stuff on it anyway. Just what the hell Sony. Just make Gravity Rush 2 damn.
Well. I’d be happy to have more PS4 games to remotely play on my Vita.
Handheld games work fine as a companion experience to consoles. Side-stories like Killzone Mercenary or the PSP God of War titles wouldn’t be considered AAA on home consoles. But it sounds like Sony is actually warning that nobody out West plans to make any Vita anything. So Western Vita owners might have to buy some Japanese language flash cards.
Vita isn’t exactly flying off the shelves in Japan, but it’ll never die over there because Japan’s gotta have their mobiles, and sales have picked up after Freedom Wars came out.

He means as ie explained you can have your AAA franchises on there. Like he pointed with GOW prequel or stuff like KH birth by sleep. But handhelds don’t really have AAA games because the scale for handheldnis different. I guess Pokemon is an AAA handheld series but its the only one in that leauge with I guess monster hunter being behind it
Yeah, I mean that it’s not critical for handhelds to have a library dominated by epic scale and AAA production values. By design, handheld games work best as quick burst play sessions, and lower resolution and less graphic horsepower means lower production costs than AAA home consoles. There’s definitely a market for AAA-type handheld games, but arcade games, side-stories and indies sell great on handhelds as well.
I’d say one of the benefits to having less resource intensive games on portables is also less battery wear and longer battery life is always a plus and should be a consideration when developing for portable
