Yea, I noticed all of KHFM’s changes. Sounds like 2.5 reMIX is going to be on a whole new level, though. Still, I can’t wait. I wanna body the Organization XIII members again, hit up Pride Rock, and max out the Drive Forms. Speaking of the Drives… I read that there’s a new one? The Limit Form, where all your buttons turn into Ars Arcanum, Sonic Blade, Ragnarok, and Strike Raid.
interesting fact (to all you guys thinking the shareholders are idiots):
Nintendo has been around over a century. it didn’t always used to be videogames. a lot of these guys have been along for the ride without much care for the actual business… just enjoy watching their bank accounts grow for 30 years.
japanese companies are usually spread out in multiple disciplines, so i wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of these people originally came from their other ventures. nintendo used to own love hotels. they sell playing cards and run card tournaments. they transitioned to video games from a toy company. that’s how business is in japan.
investors aren’t around because they are passionate about a product. its an investment because the game they want to play is earning more money. most investors only look at growth and profit margins, and when those fall, they aren’t really the right people to fix it… that is why they hire an iwata to handle the business, and from their point of view, he isn’t doing the job as well as he should be.
nothing said is surprising. for the last 10 years, they were probably being talked at during board meetings while they were on their phones watching their money stack in their bank accounts.
Yeah. Sora gets his KH1 costume and all the limits from KH1 take over your magic . AND WE GET DODGE BACK. I wish they took away Wisdom’s quick run and made it like a phase out/invincible frames counter thing. Like Lucario in Brawl. But useful.
For real? Do you really just not read anything I post aside from "FUCK CAPCOM" ?
Do you have an autistic brother who’s good with random calculations named Mood4food, and an even weirder, creepier brother named SenninSRK who isn’t good at anything but coming off as a potential rapist?
Do you drive a Hybrid, own multiple Apple devices, live in San Francisco, and love the smell of your own farts as well?
Thank you. At least somebody on this damn forum can read between the lines and not need to have me spell everything out step-by-step, word-for-word.
@subt-L Obviously shareholders only care about making money that isn’t what anyone faults them for, it is their short sightedness in wanting Iwata’s head on a platter seeing only Nintendo’s recent performance, ignoring all the good he’s done for them. Also these shareholders are stubbornly pushing ideas like porting Nintendo games to mobile which anyone with common sense knows would hurt Nintendo severely in the long term.
Trying to understand a company you invest in doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive from making money.
iwata’s job is to continue making money with his decisions. He isn’t performing up to task.
yes, the stakeholders have less of an informed idea on how to turn things around. that is why they hired iwata. when the person you hire doesn’t have the answers, then of course you start questioning things.
faulting the stakeholders for not being specialists isn’t exactly fair.
about mobile: japan is a world leader in mobile and free to play games. the market for mobile in japan is saturated so that its thick as molasses, and so many people are making tons of money. so many companies who pivoted to mobile have found it to be insanely profitable… can you honestly fault someone who is in the business of making money NOW for wanting the company to at least consider the idea?
ignoring the good he’s done: it has been 3 years since nintendo has been profitable (and its not like it was a minor lull…). imagine if you gave someone money and 3 years passed and you only saw 50% of it back? you’d probably be telling these guys to go find any way of getting the money back to you. iwata’s only risk is his future salary. stakeholders take the risk fronting the capital for day to day operations. and if you hired someone to do the job of making money and he goes and loses most of it 3 years straight, then yeah… how much money do you HAVE to lose before you start questioning if he has it in him to do his job? 5 years? 10 years?
and lets not pretend like it is ALL shareholders who are like this, and not all of them are clueless. but some will be, because it is their job to earn money, and it is their money they are risking as collateral. we can sit around and judge rich people about how they handle business and their money… but they make this industry run, and if 2 or 3 of them decided to pull their shares if iwata refuses to step down, that’s far more harmful than iwata resigning…
They’re not my thing either, but I played the Theaterhythm demo and it was really fun. I meant to pick the full game up but I never got around to it… They should do one for Kingdom Hearts and/or Persona.
It looks like Anita has put up more videos with regards to female portrayal in video games and fuck gaf for banning me for bringing up the fact that I stated she doesn’t play any of the games she talks about and saying that I didn’t read the OP (which I did, out of the list of things that are off topic that wasn’t one of them and regardless if it was it’s pretty fucked up that only certain viewpoints and opinions are allowed) and it was irrelevant when last I checked video games are an interactive medium and meant to be experienced through interaction. You wouldn’t get the same experience from watching a game as you would playing it. Your perceptions of characters and the story could be highly different if you had actually played it. A major reason why I feel attachment to characters in games because I played a part in getting the character to where he or she is.
It’s like only looking at music lyrics alone and making same accusations without consideration of how the instrumentals and the tone of the vocals play a part in conveying a message,
Edit: I just looked back at the video and realized that she brought up of how video games are an interactive medium and the audience are looking at it from one fixed perspective. Yet me bringing it up in the topic and applying it to her is irrelevant? Get that shit out of here.
