I wish, just so I could play the Wario Land game that it had.
I love stealing kills in Gears of War 2. Something about it just gets me so happy.
I legitimately collected 150 of the 151 pokemons in the original pokemon Blue.

Final Fantasy X-2 is my favorite game of all time.

This can’t be true.
I’ve never:
-played a Zelda game
-owned an SNES or fully played through a game from that console via other means
-played an RPG besides FF7 and I gave up 10 minutes in… costed $79.99 CDN too
-played Warcraft or other other MMORPG. Diablo 1 was a fun game to play with my brother though, especially since the PS1 version was basically a 2-player co-op adventure game as far as we were concerned
Other:
-I almost never play games a second time, even good ones
-It takes me a long time to beat games. I like to look around at the scenery and avoid missing anything. Sometimes I’ll do trial runs (which takes the fun right out of the game) so I know what to prepare for, or keep starting over if I lose health or waste materials. On a similar note, I’m one of those people who overthinks the shit out of the puzzles. Eg. in that stone block puzzle from God of War 1, I thought the texturing on the blocks suggested that they were originally one large block, so I kept using the mechanical thing to rotate them and arrange them perfectly. In the end, they just wanted a simple shape.
-When I got N64, the first game I asked for was KI Gold instead of Mario 64. Actually, since PS1, the first game I’ve gotten with any console has been a fighting game.
-I liked MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero. Played through it more than once.
-ten years later, I still cringe when I look at Hydra from Shinobi III
There’s probably a lot more but I can’t remember right now. In general, I played games a lot differently than most kids.
I owned a legitimate Mew in pokemon
won it on a scratch and win card from Toys R Us
My friend and I don’t compete on who’s the better MW2 player by K/D ratio, we compete based on who receives more random friend requests from other players.
I got hard looking at Diao Chan, more than once.
I seriously believe if I work at Square-Enix in the FF department, I can right the series itself back to its former glory.
It’s quite true.
Also true are the following:
I play Team Fortress 2 more often now that it has an offline mode. I suck at that game and will probably play offline until I can play at at least a competent level.
I was gifted four different games on Steam for my birthday and I still haven’t played them all(just three of them).
World of Warcraft is more satisfying to me than any fighting game with the possible exception of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.
The only Final Fantasy games I’ve even played are Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X(which I beat and enjoyed a great deal), Final Fantasy X-2, and Final Fantasy XIII(which I also enjoyed quite a bit when I beat it).
I love BlazBlue’s story, but I think the gameplay is absolute garbage.
My favorite first-person shooter is Halo 2, entirely on behalf of its campaign.
I do not own a copy of Dragon Age: Origins.
I have beaten Mass Effect fourteen times.
I have beaten Mass Effect 2 only once. I did not get the ‘No One Left Behind’ achievement.
Diao Chan is hot.
She is suppose to be.
She is one of China’s four beauties.
wow…really? Even though the games they’ve made do have some flaws in them that’s going a bit far considering that Dimps’ games have been quite solid. I never even knew about this and it makes me facepalm a bit. They already have my money for Sonic 4 and the fact that they’re actually going back and trying to fix the issues that people have called out shows that they actually give a damn. What these guys are doing is a bit uncalled for.
I’d say more on the Sonic franchise and it’s issues but I’m pretty sure I’ve already dived into that discussion in the Sonic thread and I’ll leave it out of this one.
I got 149 Pokemon on Blue. I somehow missed Ivysaur and I have no idea how.
I still play Pokemon with a great deal of enthusiasm.
I actually enjoyed the first CSI game on 360, but couldn’t bring myself to bother with the second.
I’m proud to hate Final Fantasy.
I’m afraid to talk on LIVE because of stupid boys, but revel in their caveman-like grunting after a game.
I hate remakes unless I don’t know it’s a remake.
Viva Pinata makes me squee and Left 4 Dead makes me giggle. No shame in that… right?
I’ve never finished SMB1 by myself and more importantly I’ve never played through it without warp zone help. Basically I get to the last world and quit since getting the two warp zones are my accomplishments.
As much as I love SF, I am a scrub at playing it.
OC
hmmm where to start
-I own more games than I’ve finished
-I’ve only played FF7, FFX, FFX-2, FFTA, FFTA2, and have yet to finish FF7. I stopped after trying and failing to kill the ruby(?) weapon several times.
-I own 8 Pokemon games, and have played through all of them at least 3 times each (for each starter…duh)
-I just bought another Pokemon game to see how much they’ve changed everything since Red and Blue
-I main Guile bc he’s the same in every game. I’m too lazy to change.
-I have more DS games than any other type of system/console/handheld games
-DS>>>
-I played through Kingdom Hearts, and stopped right before the last battle
-I played the first 20 mins of God of War, then let my friend beat the rest for me bc I got lazy
-I like Dante’s Inferno
-the only sports-related game I have is Space Jam for the original Playstation
there’s a lot more, but this is it for now.
EDIT: when I get bored of all the games I got, I usually just start playing SF4, or Pokemon.
-To me, the Metroid and Zelda series are far overrated. The only games I like from those two series are Super Metroid and Zelda 2/Link to the Past respectively.
-I’ve bought the original Mega Man, X, and Legends titles multiple times on multiple consoles.
-I’ve owned a Virtual Boy. It was only 30 dollars back at Toys R Us and owned Wario Land, Tetris 3D, Terro Boxer, and Red Alert, and I spent a lot of time playing these games.
-I’ll buy classic game collections like Sega Genesis Collection without much thought.
-Super Mario Bros. 2 (US Ver.) is my favorite Mario game.
-The first thing I did with my PS2 was watched Army of Darkness because it was our first DVD player. (But that was because I couldn’t find any games to rent like Tekken Tag at the time also, I got it at launch)
-I hate the Dreamcast with a passion. I’ve gone through more of those than most people have gone through XBox 360’s playing legit copies of games. Good riddance to that system!
Oh, wow.
I’ve done or do most of these. :woot:
I have never beaten any of the Metal Gear Solid games even though I own them all.
Edit: I have a brand new copy of Ico that has never been played. I only bought it because it was the only worthwhile thing I found at a Media Play that was about to close down. I don’t really plan on playing it either.
-I double dipped SSF4, my PS3 copy was dojo edition…I later traded my PS3 copy away.
-I Threw my copy of Blazblue CT in the trash and forgot about it, til weeks later after garbage had long ran.
-I’ve owned 6 xbox 360s. 3 cores, 2 aracdes, and a slim model. Over my course of buying them since launch in 2005.
-I once was a living Gears of War campaign Strategy guide.(all by memory)
-Resident Evil Remake on GCN scarred me, in retaliation. I chucked my controller at the TV.
-I wear glasses, thank you game boy.
-I can’t play FPSs on PC for shit, using Mouse n Keyboard.
-I hyped the small town I lived in to play Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. And like it.
I own almost every Castlevania game of the last 10 years and have finished each and every one with perfect save files.
I’ve played more FPS, TPS and racing games than any other genre so far this generation.
I’ve finished every game in the Onimusha series.
I consider Xbox/360 garbage game consoles with a mostly equally shitty game library.
I thought Fallout 3 was genuinely a very slow-paced and boring game but I plowed through it anyway just for trophies.
I’ve completed every game in the DMC series except for 2 because I thought it sucked.
I’ve put more time into Diablo II than any other game I’ve played.
I’ve beaten FF1, IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X and XIII. I never beat 2 because I hated the stat increase system, never beat 3 because I never got around to actually sitting down and playing it on my DS, was in the last dungeon in FFV but I accidentally walked into Ultima Weapon, got raped then never played again because this was over an hour into the final dungeon with no save points. I never played FFXI cause it’s an MMO and I never beat FFXII because I think it’s a shit game. I also have pretty much or completely perfect save files for most of the FF games, majority of them being on PS1 memory cards.
I had one. It came with Mario Tennis and my parents bought 4 other games for it:
Panic Bomber, Wario Land, Mario Clash, and Teleroboxer (best 1st person boxing game ever. I mean, what other boxing game beats your face in with metallic breasts?).
Played the shit outta the thing, even after my headset stand broke off. Maybe that’s why I’m nearsighted.
Some other stuff:
-
When I try a new fighting game, the first thing I do is go through all the females characters to see if they have an ass attack of any kind.
-
Resident Evil 4 is the first RE game I took seriously.
-
I prefer SA1 graphics over SA2
-
I dream of Blue Mary
