Video Game Confessions

I played XCOM for the PSone in 96. i didnt have a memory card, so i had to leave the console on. i had my PSone on for nearly 2 months. that console was a champ.

that’s pretty sweet. X-Com for psx is actually pretty rare now and goes for decent amounts on ebay. I remember when I bought my psx I didnt have enough cash for a memory card either, so for about a year I just kept replaying King’s Field from the beginning each time. Luckily Space Griffon had a password feature…although even if I had a memory card, back then half the games would take up the entire card for just one game save.

When I did finally get a memory card, I did the “smart” thing and bought one of those ones that had “5 times the memory space!” where you would push a little button on the card to switch between 5 different pages of 15-block memory. Of course, this was actually very unstable, so half the time I switched pages my memory would end up getting erased. Ever since I have stuck with first party memory cards.

i had one of those  you had to switch pages a certain way otherwise you were fucked haha

i got one of those too. and the gameshark. i used it to get the rocket launcher in the first RE and god mode for DoomII. at certain points you had to turn off hte gameshark and you had to do it soooooo carefully. if you barely tapped the GS it would freeze the game.

I played Batman Forever’s Vs mode for Sega Genesis.

Competitively.

Clown with nitro bubbles all day.

I recently picked up viewtiful Joe and dmc3 for three bucks each. I’d rather play these games than 90% of new games

I didn’t have a memory card either but when i got my ps2, i had GT3, CvS2 anf FFX, I started FFX about 3-4 tiemes before got a memory card, and fortunately enough i found a pelican one at 9.99 on a x-mas sale

i did the same with Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen and GTA3 lol.

Viewtiful Joe is too good! I remember being obsessed with that game and even though 2 was not at good at 1, I spent more time on that one even completing all difficulties. Although I can’t remember if I tried getting Viewtiful ratings on all difficulties though.

I thought Liara was hot in Mass Effect.

Is it bad that I’m going back to Runescape after they bring back Free Trade and Pking next year in January?

When I was a kid, I used to call a joystick a “jolly stick”. I remember my dad played quake on our old windows 95 PC and he would use a joystick to play it, I’d always shout, “GO THERE, LEFT, RIGHT, BEHIND YOU” and he’d get pissed off because he doesnt know what I mean when I shouted random directions at him.

I remember being freaked out seriously when I first played half life. I had nightmares seriously and couldnt sleep for a long time. After that, I beat the game no problem. When HL2 came out, I freaked out again while I was in ravenholm city because how dark and creepy it was.

Up until dead space I wasnt scared of anything in games, and I still have problems sleeping alone sometimes when I think of the necromorphs and the whole suicidal people thing. I couldnt ever finish the game because how terrified it made me.

Looks like I just dont do horror games.

I never finished Resident evil 1 but friends just assume i have. I just don’t bring it up. :shake:

One day i rented Weaponslords on snes and I started getting massive hardons playing this game. I had to stop playing because my balls ached more than my thumbs.

Onimusha, Bozana Bros., TMNT II: The Arcade game all gave me nightmares for some reason.

I am of the firm belief that Keiji Inafune was right. Japanese games and their developers are completely worthless.

says the guy with a final fantasy avatar.

I hate SFIV very strongly and never play, yet I buy all the costume packs that have Shotos, Shadaloo, Femmes, and the one that includes Juri.

The closest thing I have to a confession is that I think Legend of the Dragoon was the best of JRPG age.

i’ve only beaten two final fantasies (vi and xiii) though i’ve played almost all of them
i never beat battletoads, ghosts and goblins
i did beat all three of the Impossible Game stages though
