Man, FUCK the Halo series. Ugh.
I broke like 5 controllers in anger trying to beat F-Zero GX. I, wih the help of my brother, eventually beat it. Everything. We beat story mode on very hard, unlocked all AX characters, AX stages, beat all cups on hardest and unlocked every characters movie (beat grand prix on hardest with that character). It was hell, but that game was awesome. i love a challenge. i hope the next F-zero is that hard
I started Chrono Trigger but never beat it
-
The only Megaman game i have beaten is X, i have failed to beat everyother Megaman i play
-
I preorder 3D Dot Game Hero and was pretty hype about it, but got too much into Bad Company 2 and SSF4 online that i just sold it still wrapped =/
Reason why Chrono Trigger kicks ass: Ayla.
Actually, the whole game kicks ass.
the amount of people who feel OoT is overrated is staggering…The amount of influence it’s had over games that have come after it is hardly something to scoff at…
WOW. how many hours did it take to accomplish such a feat? I gave up about midway through story mode on normal difficulty out of pure frustration.
Cross Edge was retarded.
My worst is buying an Xbox 360. (no offense Xbox fanboys). But I’ve had the worst luck of having the system break down 3 times within the year I got it.
I’m just playing it now because most of my friends are playing it.
-i was really sad when super mario rpg ended (legend of the seven stars). like i just sat there like…i dunno. i was in shambles, lol.
-i told my gf to shut up and be quiet for a sec when i was about to beat mario 1 because i hadn’t beaten it before and i needed full concentration. i beat it in like 11th grade, lol.
-i too bought ssf4 because of the hype and sold it like a month later. tekken 6 is pretty much the only thing i play on the ps3. i even forgot about ffIX.
-i still haven’t beaten tactics. i keep forgetting that i have it.
-i’ve played dkc2 so much that i’m convinced i could do a non tool assisted speed run and get a record or come close to it. it was one of my favorites.
-i always have trouble on gta games so i let my gf beat them. she’s some sort of genius when it comes to sandbox games.
-i love vf but i’m not good at it. i love watching matches tho. one day i’ll pick it up and play it more.
-i have beaten ffVII with all characters 99, all materia, some maxed out, etc. etc. in like a week and a half when i didn’t have a job.
-i’ve never “forgiven” my gm for copping me wall street kid when i was 4.
-i played chip n dale rescue rangers religiously back in the day.
letting your gf come over to your house to watch you play video games is hilarious; but telling her to shut up while doing so is just priceless.
I play Taki because I think she’s hot.
I play Asuka because I think she’s hot.
I play Ibuki because I think she’s hot.
I play Morrigan because I think she’s hot.
I never played Chrono Trigger before.
Dungeon Keeper is the greatest PC game of all time.
Not a confession, but pure, fiery* truth*.
I’ve never played the original metal gear solid or resident evil, both of which I’ve always been told I should play.
I’ve never played a Mortal Kombat game except for one time, for about 30 seconds before I had to go.
I have over 2000 hours in VF4, VF4: Evo and VF5 wrapped up combined.
I. Am. Ashamed.
i know you’ve heard this before but go play it. its worth it. i was really sad when it ended too but there is the new game + to keep you happy. the game is dope with new game +, too. its not repetitive.
Meh, I kept it cuz friends of mine still play it (I am friends with a Team Jesus dude)
I am gonna get Reach. I didn’t get ODST.
i got to the boss of lunar 2 but could never beat it.
the only defeat on my record…
You’re serious? It’s one thing to say that you don’t like that game, there is no game that everyone likes, but to say that Resident Evil 4 is atrocious…thats insane.
RE4 (the Wii version especially) was one of the greatest games of its generation. It struck the perfect balance of fear and fun with little frustration. The Wii version was great: the aiming with the Wiimote allowed you to make quick presision shots: nothing like landing a dizzing shot, running up to and kicking the fucker, then quick turn, shoot a flying axe that is inches from your face, then blow-off the head of the asshole that threw it at you…and thats just for starters.
You’re just straight up badass in the RE4 Wii version. No other game I’ve played where I faced a mob of enemies and felt that I beat them not because they are weak and/or stupid, but because I was just that damn good. This isn’t God of War/Devil My Cry/Bayonetta, where everyone is a punk compared to you, these enemies (especially on the highest difficulty) will quickly kill you, but if you know what you’re doing, you’ll come out without a scratch…and feal like the fuckin man in the process.
Tell me, why do you say that the game is bad?
Fester’s Quest is a great game. Unless that was the origonal TMNT for the NES, I don’t think that was a bad deal at all.
You have great taste.
Wild Arms…there is a game that takes me back.
When it come to Japanese Adventure games (what you guys call “JRPGS”), I really only play for the battle system. But Wild Arms was different: I loved the settling, the music, and the story. It was really different and cool.
But I didn’t feal that magic with the sequal. I think Sony fell into the traditional trapings of the your run-of-the-mill Japanese Adventure game. Wild Arms 2 was not only mediocre in its own right, but it didn’t really feal like a Wild Arms game to me: it had little connection with the origonal.
I wrote off Wild Arms after that.
I feal your pain. I got stuck there too. I also looked at strategy guides and couldn’t find a damn thing that meantioned how to get past it: it was as if getting that that part was so easy that it wasn’t even worth meantioning…which just pissed me off more. I time-over died a shit-ton of times before I finally figured it out.
The music for Carnival Night Zone will be stuck in my head for the rest of my life.
I’ll contribute too:
-
Remember Diddy Kong racing? My brother and I loved the Racer Select Music so much that we’d leave it on that screen while we do other stuff around the house.
-
I still play Mortal Kombat 2. I just love playing through single-player mode. I usually play Shang Tsung and a) morph into a rival of the character that I am playing against at least twice (eg. against Scorpion, morph into Sub-Zero), and b) kill the opponent with one of their own fatalities. I’m real sick with it: I can pretty much beat the game without getting hit with most of the cast.
-
I do not like Zelda 1. I didn’t like it as a kid, and I still don’t like it today. I dont like games where I have to search for shut with little or crypic clues…that is NOT fun AT ALL. I love all the other Zelda’s, though (except Phantom Hourglass: that was meh)

Since we are talking about Crono Trigger, Lavos’s screem always gives me goosebumps. Hell, it’s giving me goosebumps right now just thinking about it. What really got me when when you get the bad ending where it shows the world turn gray, and you see in big letters…
BUT…
THE FUTURE REFUSED
TO CHANGE.
…with that damn Lavos screem in the backround.
Chrono-fucking-Trigger…damn did that game really tugged on my emotions. Out standing.
I just You-Tubed that ending:

It still gets to me…after 15 years…it still gets to me…

I think Final Fantasy: Crisis Core is better than Final Fantasy VII.

I thought I figured out who the Origami Killer was in Heavy Rain. Here was my theory:
Even though it’s wrong, I don’t want you to rule it out if you havnt played it
[details=Spoiler]I thought it was Madison Page. I figured that after his brother drowned, he has created a second personality, the evil Origami Killer persona. Somewhere along the line, he had a sex change, and as (Good) Madison got close to Ethan, Oragami Killer kept track of his comings and goings. He allowed Good Madison to help Ethan by keeping the police away and trying to heal him and shit, but also used this is an opportunity to frame him if things go awry.
Man I was WAY off! [/details]
The best version of RE4 was Wii?! PS2 homie.
I got a big confession and I wonder if anyone else does it. Whenever I don’t have the chance to play a game (funds or laziness) I watch I…I…I watch YouTube walkthrough of the entire game! I did it for MGS1, Silent Hill, Ico. Alotta games that I can’t find anymore and such or obscure games I never had.
I wanna know something worse was was hype for and/or bought ab N-Gage? I did neither.
I’m worse in watching game videos. I constantly watch videos of Modern Warfare 2… when I could just be playing MW2. I make excuses for it, saying that actually playing will reel me in for hours, but it just feels stupid at the end of the day.
Would watching an entire game walkthrough count as beating it with a friend? It’s like me and the player beat the game together and I was in the room. If so my catalogue would increase 2.5 fold
