Alright, so I just canceled the order, but I wasn’t informed of any re-stocking fee…? Will I see a surprise charge from VGC down the road? Lol… :rolleyes:
Well, when I canceled mine it took about about seven e-mails before they actually did it. On the seventh reply from them I got a kind of “Oh by the way we charge a 5% restocking fee, so we canceled and refunded the balance.”
So, if they’ve told you it’s done without tacking the fee on, you’re probably in the clear. Though I’d cross check the amount you receive back from them just to be sure.

Mr Mojo - You are Dead Wrong as if I had not seen this thread I would have had no idea what was going on because these knob jockeys never sent me ANY EMAIL / ADVICE AT ALL about what was going on… I was only told my order would definately ship on release date.
To this day vgc have still not replied or given me any explanation. So thanks heaps Benjiedude for opening up this topic and exposing this Turd of a business.
On a happier note :wgrin: I finally got through via phone after a disconnect and long wait on hold. The result is I got my money refunded back to Paypal, no fee, and I didn’t hang up until the buggers had actually put the money back and gave me a Transaction ID.

Just want to clear things up. I spoke with Dave from Video Game Central and there seems to be some miscommunication going around. I’m sure once VGC gets their shipments in (not sure when that is sorry), they’ll be able to satisfy those who have preordered.

Everyone is getting impatient because of the SF4 launch, no one can blame them. The least we can do is be patient and not insult individuals/companies as it won’t do us anyone any good in the long run.

Well I’ll just let my pre-order with them sit for now. But once the Capcom store or someone else starts taking pre-orders if I haven’t gotten it or any word that its shipping from them I’ll just order someone where else and cancel. I’ve got more cheese then a mouse so I’m not in any hurry to cancel.

Obviously VGC took too many preorders, without having the distributor to back it up. VGC should do the right thing, and just refund all the pre-orders they took and give out a 10% coupon for everyones trouble.

I dunno about sooner (damn database error and busy server), but at least you caught yourself.
I ordered mine a few days before the cut off date of the emails they sent and I haven’t heard anything about my stick through emails that it was shipped.
I’m going to assume I’m one of those people that got screwed over.
VGC definately going to get bad rep because of this. They should really consider offering something in return for their mistake.
holy, if you didn’t get a shipment e-mail, you won’t be getting your stick until they get some. I called once, was able to cancel my order and was refunded the money within a few days, no restocking fee. I’m just waiting until everyone restocks.
