The dollar being weak to the yen has nothing to do with the price increase so stop lying. Japan is expensive to tour, so what does it have to do with the prices on the joysticks again? Nothing. The reason why you jacked up the prices on joysticks is because of supply and demand. I mentioned it before, Amazon and Play-asia prices are the same. While individual owned stores like VGC and Japanvideogames are jacking up the prices. VGC is a shady company, you guys did charge people restocking fees on the TE unless they complained about it then you dropped the charge because you know you would lose the disputes.
I find it funny that people defending this shady company works for them!
The question I have to ask is - if they took 900+ preorders, did they REALLY think they were gonna get 30% of the stock? I mean, let’s look at this: Amazon, Gamestop, Gamecrazy, Best Buy. Four BIG ASS retailers. They had severe limitations on preorders. Do you think that if anyone was gonna get 30% of the stock, it would have been one of them? Not tiny website from NY?
In all honesty, the preorders don’t have me miffed. It was a fuckup, and a big one, but whatever. They realized their mistake too late, and now some people are pissed. Whatever. However, a restocking fee on a cancelled preorder is BEYOND shady. Charging in full up front is debateably sketchy. Yanking the stick from the site as opposed to just announcing backordered… that scares me a bit. Announcing an alternative to the TE stick for those screwed by said backorders, then rapidly and constantly inflating the price of it? That’s just plain wrong.
I cancel my order with them too when they said they cant ship it on 17/02 but late March/April I suspect they are taking 2nd shipment pre-order but make it out as they are taking for the first …very bad practice and they have a bad reputation on many Australian forum regarding this practice so I stay away from them from now.

What Im confused about is all those other retailers got some sticks. It “appears” that you guys got none because no one has said they’ve received a stick from you. If I knew you got some instead of none, I’d feel more comfortable having an order with you. Right now, I think myself and others feel like we had our money taken for a pre-order that at the time was questionable because no one else was taking orders. There was even a question on your website under this item that asked if you could still guarantee the pre-orders you were taking.
Now it seems like you were taking pre-orders at full price, not knowing for sure you were going to get the sticks. Additionally, charging people restocking fees for an item you never had.
So the question is, were you taking pre-orders well passed the point you should have been?

I never received any advice of the delays or backorders and was reassured upto the 15th that my order would ship that week as the stock was “coming in every day”. Fuckin’ Bullshitters !!! To this day I still have got no reply from anyone at your pathetic VGC despite numerous emails.
As many people as possible need to know our experiences with your business so they stay far far away from any dealings with you.
OK so when it comes to cancelling my order…am I better off sending them an email or calling directly? I sent their order assistance email a message yesterday and they’ve yet to reply.

I’m not gonna debate with anybody about what I know is the first steps to getting what one wants as a consumer. It all starts at the complaint level. Do I think I’m getting a TE stick? Absolutely not. Do I think VGC will give me one because of this thread? NO. But I can tell you this, if everybody who ordered from them files complaints at every company I listed in the original post…it’s a damn good start at making sure these guys either make proper steps at legitimizing their business or go out of business. Either way I believe karma needs a kick in the ass sometimes to get to those who are wronging people out there just because they feel they can. You’ve seen how 2 employees of VGC came on this thread acting like 15 year old punks. If that sits ok with the lot of you that’s fine but I don’t like dishonesty- especially in business.
