No e-mail from them and I ordered on Jan 22 so I was in before the date they said for the first shipment. I’m hoping I get it before friday or monday. If not by monday then I’ll file a complaint.
If any of you call and attempt to cancel your order, be prepared for a wave of excuses as to why you shouldn’t. I had placed an order with VGC in mid-January, and called to cancel when Best Buy put their TE up for pre-order. The guy at VGC tried to convince me there was no way Best Buy would actually receive their orders on time (guess he was right about that), and had several others reasons as to why I shouldn’t cancel as well.
I should have argued with them about their ridiculous 5% re-stocking fee for an item they didn’t actually have in stock, but I just let it go. I consider it a painful learning experience on my part - no more VGC, ever.
For record I think this thread is nice. Nothing wrong with us being concerned and informed. As you can already tell I ordered from VGC as a last resort too.
I think you should really go back and argue that. That’s just nonsense. If there’s nothing we can do though I will be compelled to inform the community via the front page that this is some bullploppy~

God this thread is the peak of stupidity. Wait for it like everyone else, don’t pull out all this consumer rights bullshit and watchdog group links like you have a clue. I’m in love with joysticks and fighting games, but it’s still a joystick, it’s not like you’re being pushed to the back of the line. i canceled my order today when a friend told me he walked into a gs otw home from work and picked up 3 of them one of which he’ll sell to me if i want it still
currently trying to decide if i should go with the te or a custom stick
btw i brought up the 5% restock fee and supposedly they waived it, ill see when my online cc statement shows the credit
Well just to give my two cents on VGC I ordered an HRAP2SA from them and received it no problem, and this is shipping to Hawaii.
Well, you’re entitled to your opinion jackass. What I can’t understand is why you even wasted your time here. Keep off the thread unless you ordered from VGC.

As of 8 am this morning I have not received an email from VGC. Just a tad worried at this point since it’d be nice if they had sent me something the day of. I haven’t received an email from alternativedvd either but they don’t ship till Sunday so I can’t blame that on them yet.

yeah, I am kinda done with the TE stick and I just want to order a HRAP and mod it…I just wish VGC could be helpful in some way, like answering my e-mails/calls so I can just get a stick and be done with it.
I do think it’s kinda shady how VGC all of a sudden pulled the TE stick off their website instead of listing it as backordered. Almost as if it’s a scheme to just take our money and hope we don’t remember that we ordered 150+ worth of merchadise from them. :lol:
Like someone said before…this really isn’t the biggest deal in the world. We’re going nuts over entertainment devices. If I don’t like what happened I’ll just ask for my money back. I’m not looking to sue these guys or nothing over video games.

Just got off the phone with them. They said e-mail notifications are going out today.
No suing going on here, only consumer complaints if needed. Nobody has to do shit unless they want to. In this instance these guys told me word for word “the reason why we charged your card already in full sir is because it guarantees you the stick as soon as we get it”.
I’m going to wait till Sunday to see if Altdvd will get in touch with me. If I don’t hear from them a couple days after Sunday then I’ll just go cancelling orders.
@ Benjie…now I didn’t read much of your original post or most of this thread so excuse me for not reading…but you’re saying you don’t like that they guaranteed you would get a stick. Well if they are saying that you’ll get the stick as soon as they get it…would that not mean they are still going by what they said? AFAIK Mad Catz underestimated demand so a lot of stores just aren’t going to be able to fulfill demand and they probably don’t have the sticks.
I haven’t received mine yet either. In fact, last I checked they haven’t even charged my credit card yet.
I called today, and got some attitude from a douche working there. I guess they are getting annoyed about questions concerning e-mails. How about get on it then…

Honestly, I’m not really annoyed with VGC thus far. This whole debacle is really all MadCatz’s fault. I also pre-ordered at Best Buy, and I’m not getting a stick from them either until some unknown date. Many people that ordered from Gamestop or Capcom or wherever else are also in the same boat. Some of these places are better than others about keeping you in the loop, but they all got screwed and in turn, so did we. If you wanna vent your frustration, take it out on MadCatz.
My advice is this: If you have a stick to use, just chill. I’m sure we’ll all get em eventually. If you don’t have a stick to play the SF4 you just picked up, cancel your order immediately and just buy some other stick.
