so placed my te stick pre-order 1/13/09 and immediately got charged for their “guarantee”
i let it marinate while people received their te sticks EARLY from other sites…emailed vgc 2/16 to get sum kind of status. received an email reply with lack of inventory and mad catz actual letter to vgc stating due to demand blah blah blah
jus got a refund and te stick hopes and dreams crushed… T___T
Yeah sounds more like Mad Catz screwed us over on this one than VGC. I’m not saying VGC is perfect but they’re just trying to run a business. With only 3,000 initial sticks made…you were pretty much gambling getting a stick by SFIV release no matter what VGC said online. It was obvious Mad Catz was not going to go through with getting sticks to all retailers. I gambled and so far it seems I’ve gotten the short end of the stick.
I’d like to wait it out but that depends on altdvd. If altdvd comes through with at least an email letting me know of the next date or if I will get a stick on their shipping date…I’ll wait. If they delay and I hear nothing…money back.
Well, that’s about a wrap for this thread. Please close it mods. I’m done. When I called in dude said they didn’t get a single TE stick. Like I believe that.
Altdvd sent me an email saying shipment didn’t go through as planned with Mad Catz like others discussed earlier. I feel way more confident with them than I do with VGC so I’ll hold on to that until further notice especially since they’re 360 sticks and I could use one at the house. The PS3 sticks from VGC would mainly be sold off and I would keep one for tournament/friend’s house use. If VGC doesn’t send me an email by the end of the week I’m cancelling my order.
i just called, and was tolled for those who want to wait. The charge will come at the end of the week or starting of next week. if you dont want to wait, you can cancel or choose another stick.

They are either ignoring me or … ? I’d like to believe they are just snowed under with inquiries, however in 3 days no reply at all !?
I have asked to cancel the order & get my money back which they already have taken… I asked really nicely & with understanding of the situation which is not their fault.
It is poor customer service at the very least but also prevents me from using that money as its tied up with them ! I’m far from rich so it’s alot of dough for me.
I like to trust they will do the right thing sooner rather than later.
Well its the 4th day since I last requested, nicely, to have my order cancelled and to refund my money back to paypal.
A deafening silence is all I have got back, I am beginning to feel abit hostile towards vgc now. I can understand their unenviable position of being left in the lurch with Madcatz not supplying them for their pre-orders but to ignore the customer who naturally wants to be kept in the loop is unacceptable.
I haven’t even been afforded the courtesy of the email posted that some vgc customers have received. What makes that worse for me is that I fully paid upfront for a Fightstick and a pad. VGC are comfortable hanging onto my money but now that the whole deal has gone to custard they seemingly want to pretend I am not here.
Upto yesterday I was prepared to accept that the failure of vgc to respond to my last 3 emails ( 1 email per day ) was due to them being busy filling orders and answering other phone calls and emails. But surely now that is a bit of a joke ?
Can anyone who either lives in the area where vgc is located or is a local phone call away from them help me out at all ? because I am out of pocket for about $270 Australian Dollars and I cannot get connected by phone to them.
I am stressing a little now feeling that it maybe hard to recover the money when I live so far away here in Australia. I know all US companies aren’t like this and I still have a hope vgc will do the right thing but ya cant blame me for worrying at this stage can you ?
I am a customer who paid up front, cash, for something which is unavailable and unable to be supplied at this time.
I choose to cancel that order and kindly requested a refund. VGC have given me no reply in 4 days, a time in which other customers have reported he that they at least got told about the delays and reasons.
I now have a Fightstick which I ordered elsewhere and so I have exercised my right to request a refund, which I am permitted to do according to VGC’s own terms of service as the product is not in stock and therefore cannot be processd or shipped.
SO again, learned Senior Member, what must I be patient about ? I don’t have a cash cow and $270 Aussie Dollars is alot of money.

C’mon, gimme a break ! 4 days is more than enough time to sort their shit out and at least acknowledge the situation. And that is leaving aside the fact that some of us didn’t even get sent their email explaining about the shortage of Madcatz stock and backordered to March / April situation.

nope, being a bitch to them isn’t going to make them want to get your situation corrected any sooner. So opposed to whining why don’t you do something a little more constructive in the mean time.
except you didn’t pay in cash, you pre-ordered like the rest of us. and had you not have noticed this shortage is going on at all the retailers. GS, BB, Amazon, VGC. And there is nothing that you can do to make their stocks magically fill in the mean time. So either wait it out, or “polietly” ask for a refund or exchange. Polietly being key here.
and your one of hundreds of people that preordered this stick and one of thousands of orders that they’re sorting through. Going through thousands of orders takes time. Imagine your spam email box, except all those are costumer orders/questions but they have to go through each one. It takes a while whether you like it or not.

I bought 2 sticks, so thats $350 for me. But I’m not spending money that I don’t have unlike you. and I’m willing to wait it out.
But also, you spent 270 on these sticks, and you go around and spend another 80 dollars for the fight sticks but you still haven’t gotten the money back from the 270 yet. Seems like you should have at least have waited until you got the 270 back before you go spending more money you don’t have on yet another sticks.
But thats alright, because you’re a family man and you’re spending your family’s money on sticks that you know are difficult to get and are acting surprised when its out of stock.

I have been extremely patient and far from bitching to them, all my correspondence to them has been polite and sympathetic to the situation. Which I only know about 2nd hand because they didn’t send me the email about backorders.
This forum and thread in particular is for those of us experiencing difficulties with vgc. My tone has not been whining so you can stfu about that and anyway … why did you come into this thread again ?
Next off, I DID pay in cash as my pre-order being International stipulated that I MUST use Paypal and my paypal links direct to my bank account. Cash taken out straight into vgc on day of order !!!
Blah Blah about hundreds of orders to sift through, when I made inquiries only a few days ago there was no delay in responding to me but as soon as I mentioned the “Cancel & Refund” words the abyss opened up.

I left a comment on that review of the hrap that oldschoolfool of vgc made and it was deleted lol. My comment was basically pointing out how vgc is trying to say hrap is the best stick all of a sudden with the main reason being that the madcatz te orders went to shit.
This is so wrong. VGC charges you right away, they don’t hold your money like other places. When you go to cancel your order, they will charge you a 5% for restocking fees. That’s right, they charge you to restock an item they do not have!
They are a shady company. They advertise the HRAP3 on the page with the TE stick and then they jacked up the price from $99 to $149.
