Venom arcade stick PS4/PS3

@Biggz Thanks man! Sorry for the late reply.
I will start my build next month then, going for something I’ve never seen anyone do before I’ll make sure to update in this thread.

Hi Everyone! i’m a newbie here, can anyone knows if there are a VCC line onto the original Venom stick pcb?
I’m trying surfing the net looking for the wiring diagram, but with no useful results someone can help me?
Thanks in advance

VCC is just another word for power, yes the stick does have a power line, in your case its +5 Volts.
If your stick has a USB cord is has a VCC line,
if you stick has a PCB has a VCC Line
There sticks without a PCB (like a Neo Geo stick) still have a VCC line.

Where is it? The Red wire coming out of the USB cable inside of your stick is the VCC Line

Thank You Darksakul,i had noticed the VCC line from USB cable, surely use that for my purpose,I just wanna know if there are somewhere around the web the diagram for every pin of that Venom pcb,it’ll be very useful for my stick project…
Anyway:Thanks again Dude,Your advice was great!

Well you have a known point to start, use a multimeter to find any alternates.

Can I use this (http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/jst-xh-female-to-female-connector-cable.html) to connect a Seimitsu LS-58? It only seems to mention the Sanwa JLF.

Seimtsu and Sanwa uses the same 5 pin connectors.
That said that cable less than ideal. It does not lock to the connector on the joystick.

So I guess that means the cable could come lose over time? Or am I misunderstanding?

That version of the plug can get lose, yes.
You could put a dab of hot glue, that what Mad Catz does

Nice stuff guys! I just ordered my sanwa parts… now making a new insert; if it’s fisnished i’ll share!

So is that guide button up there a happ concave button?

Is there a proper USB replacement cable for this stick? Running into issues finding one.

If you don’t mind some wire splicing, any USB cord with a 1.1/2.0 USB type A connector on one end

Im afraid i dont know much about splicing. My dog ate up the original one, and i tried repairing it with a kit with no luck. The most similar cable i have been able to find is a cable for a q4raf stick. I have that stick so i went ahead and tried to plug it into the board. Problem is of course the pin harness wont fit without the colored wires facing the opposite direction.

If splicing isnt too hard for someone like me who knows pretty much zero about it i might try it. Cant find a replacement anywhere so i might not have much other option.

There are various solderless methods for splicing. My favourite is to use closed end connectors because you just slide your stripped wires inside and crush it and the metal inside makes contact with the wire conductors allowing electricity to flow.

I went through with the splice job. Used closed heads to connect the conductors. Still no luck. Doesn’t register on my PS4 or my PC. One thing i noticed while doing it however. On the PCB side of the cable, i have 1 red, 1 white, 1 green, and 2 black wires going into the board. However from the middle of the cable where i spliced, i only have 1 black wire. Is that normal?

So i ended up getting a new cable all together for this stick. Still doesnt seem to work. I may have fried the board while testing things out with the previous splice attempts? Is there a way to test the usb slot on the board to see if thats the case? Or is this thing just completely shot?

I can’t find these anywhere cheaper than ebay from random UK sellers… does that sound right? about $100 with shipping…

I don’t believe these are available in the US, hence why you’re finding random people selling it. I think they’re EUR only. Mayflash V2 i believe is the equivalent?

Ah somehow I totally missed they were related - the mayflash is nice and easy to find but i didn’t realize they were the same quality too! Okay thanks, I think i will grab a mayflash sometime soon.

EDIT: Okay found some used Mayflash v2 on ebay for $30 shipped, so i grabbed one! if i am swapping buttons and joystick i don’t care as much if it’s used or not. Does the replacement plastic like @Biggz posted above work for the Mayflashes? Sorry if there is a different thread I should keep these Mayflash questions in. Let me know if i shouldn’t be asking this here…
