Venom arcade stick PS4/PS3

It is just a patch or plug to fill in the gap, it could be that there was something there originally (like some connector or interface, maybe a headphone jack) or something could be added in later revisions.

Like MonkeyGovernor pointed out the case is used under a number of brand names, if someone wanted to add USB ports or a heaphone jack, this would be the spot.

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking of putting some extra buttons there for l3 and r3.

You will need a printed circuit board that supports L3 and R3.

Great thread, inspired me to get the Venom stick and am now waiting on the Sanwa parts to replace the stick and buttons. Will be my first mod, cant wait

For those who are getting the arcade stick, planning to mod it with a sanwa stick and live in europe http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/jst-xh-female-to-female-connector-cable.html sells a 5-pin female to female cable.

That’s my second mod on the venom stick…same total sanwa stuff,I just regret that the Alex name is not well centered and seems overposed with the plexi magnet but, i have time to change the artwork by the way

Thought Id try something a little different with my new happily owned venom stick. Firstly, instead of paper artwork I used some black textured vinyl I had laying around so I traced the original template onto the vinyl & cut it out. Hard to tell in pictures but it looks basically like glossy leather under the plexi. Then swapped 6 of my hayabusa buttons with the hayabusa joystick plus 2 black seimitsu ps15’s. The balltop is actually spray painted copper as well as the ps button housing lip for some contrast. Overall Im super happy with how it turned out & the ease of modding, however inserting the buttons was a total pain. The metal panel button cut outs make for quite a tight fit with my other buttons, so I may take my dremel to it & see if i can widen them a bit.

Lastly, I am not having any more issues with inputs not registering/input lag or legacy disconnects so far on sfv thankfully. I feel like a new man haha.

I received my venom today and modded it with a hayabusa stick and sanwa buttons.
Noticed that the top of the plexi flexes some when pressing it (close to the ps-button) it’s like the magnet won’t really keep the plexi down, is that normal?

My first stick mod. Thank you to @beseitfia. I literally copied his stick design as i liked the look of it.

Nothing special, but my first ever time opening up a stick and modding it (full sanwa upgrade). Stick is so easy to work with

nice! i suggest you to use a thin black marker for the white edges around the cuts, and to recenter the playstation button wich seems a little awry (on my venom it was like this as well when it came from amazon). Nice work! And also Thank’s to KewreL who made the first artwork! =)

Does anyone have a link for the PSD template file for this stick? I keep running into a dead MEGA link that’s mentioned a few times in this thread.

Just got myself this Arcade Stick from eBay for Ā£49.99 and it arrived yesterday. Never used an Arcade Stick on a home console before so I’m looking forward to improving my skills in my favourite PS3 & PS4 Beat em Ups.
The Arcade Stick is used but looks like it must have only been used a few times as its in absolutely perfect condition, I’m going to see how I go with it then I may upgrade the Stick & Buttons with official Sanwa parts with the help of the guides on these forums.

How do I upload a photo of my Arcade Stick here?

Design flaw, mine has it too

You have to upload the photo first on an image sharing/hosting site like imgur.com and then
put the URL of your photo in your message wrapping it with the img tags. Here are some examples:
http://www.dailywritingtips.com/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode#imgcode

or you can simply click on ā€œAttach image/fileā€ option of the toolbar when editing your comment and
paste there the URL of your image.

Yeah imgur is the best way.
In the old days imageshack was good but then it became pay to win and imgur became the new imageshack.

Here’s an example of mine (Qanba Q4):

done in this format:

Without spaces, of course.

In this case, link is ā€œhttp://i.imgur.com/K8vFRQ1.jpgā€.

When Ryu’s arm is bigger than his head…

Since when did Dwayne The Rock Johnson start auditioning as Ryu?
