I am a sweaty gamer! The madcatz is a heavy stick, and as I play set after set of adrenaline filled SF, the compression from the stick on my nut sack and knees creates an environment that is actually similar to that of a rainforest.
Iām talking about hours of gaming, this developed over several years. I have met many people with a similar problem. Iām trying to prevent it from happening to the venom.
I regret even asking! I could have gone my whole life without knowing compression from peoples nut sacks rusts the controllers. :bawling:
On other news I decided to order the Sanwas silent-buttons and the regular stick +octagon gate. Hopefully the shipping to Finland isnāt that long. (It isnāt cheap either, over 13 pounds to ship)
yo guys new here. my venom stick now has sanwa parts just missing artwork I got a template from one of the forums idk if it was wrong or not but when I went to get it printed the button holes and the art itself are wayyyyyy to big I got them printed on a3. idk what I did wrong but help would be much appreciated. if anyone has a template link or yeah
I find its difficult to get exact fits, hence why most stick art has a bled over area where the art is going to get cropped off anyways when you start cutting.
Itās not an exact fit but I think itās close enough⦠But yeah, eventually, youāre going to have to fine tune it, maybe crop a millimeter here and there. What you should do is cut it to size, apply it to your stick and see exactly where you have to make those tiny adjustments.
Regarding the 6 light holes, yeah, the last one is useless and comes from the Mayflash template so you should remove it for the Venom.
Actually, I ended up removing all of them because theyāre useless to me (I use my stick on PC and the lights donāt even turn on, theyāre for PS3/4) and anyway, when one of them is lit, it will show through the paper (Iāve tested it on my PS3).
I just ordered this stick and some modding equipment. I have heard that the stick might encounter some issues with static building up making the stick inoperable until reconnecting it.
Is this a wide problem? Are a lot of you encountering this fault or is it just a small number of unlucky people?
Thanks.
So my post doesnāt get lost, Iāll put it here too. I thought seperate artwork threads were allowed.
Hi,
Anyone with a Venom fight stick want to try out this artwork.
Iāve tweaked the template a little what I received from Venom as the size was slightly off. seems to be Xiondashās template I was sent. Thank you to Xiondash.
There are two versions. The ones labelled Circles have circles for the stick lights at the top. This makes it much easier to cut out.
Tip: When cutting out the circles, pop them using a sharp tool then use sandpaper on the reverse side to cleanly remove the pierced paper.
Wowowow, a couple centimeters? Thatās not normal! I was talking about a couple millimeters! I did all my artworks with the template provided here by @johnnytoxic and I can assure you itās accurate (apart from those little adjustments you have to make if you want a perfect fit, which are dependent on your stick, I think, remember weāre talking about a few millimeters hereā¦). What probably happened is that the place you printed it from screwed up and printed it too big.
So, for anybody whoās interested :
use the aforementioned template
do whatever adjustments you need to (for instance, I removed the lights because I donāt use them, and the magnet circles because⦠theyāre useless anyway)
make sure your artwork is 3840x2316 / 300 dpi (THAT is also very important!)
(optional, but it was necessary for me) add borders to your artwork because some printers will crop the picture a little. A couple centimeters on each side should do the trick.
save your final picture as a PDF.
print it wherever you can. I printed mine at work because weāre lucky enough to have a high quality color laser printer, but if you bring a properly prepared PDF to any print shop and instruct them to print TO SIZE, I donāt see why it should go wrong.
cut it out very carefully, see if it fits perfectly (it probably wonāt). If it doesnāt, make the *tiny *adjustments required for it to fit *your *stick (Iām pretty sure no two sticks are exactly alike).
yes you are right, the template is perfect, I checked yesterday at home with a copy from the printer we have in the office.
Probably the shop where i printed it out modified something
Hey Chapsā¦
Any chance you could clearly state exactly what parts fit into the Venom.
Theres posts mentioning a guide etc but cant locate a direct link.
So far I understand you need -
