Vega Q&A Thread

I need help with his combo

how is it supposed to be executed It doesnt say crush coutner when I press forward + hp

@VCFan1001 it’s only a crush counter if you hit them while they’re pressing something.
Press start, counter hit ON and you’ll get it.

@af0 thanks man appreiciate it

Hi, whats vegas most punishing combo eg: after blocked dp etc
I normally do [claw]sthp>switch stance>cr.mp>ex fba> air grab
is there a punish that does more dmg than this combo?
Also what is vegas most punishing combo that’s meter less?
I do st.hpclaw>crimson terror
Is there a meterless that is stronger
Also sometimes when I try to go for the mixup after a knock down I dash close to them then do qcf+lk and I dont end up on the other side how do I do this mix up properly?

thanks

For the DP punish: When in claw mode, try this: st.HK (crush counter), then your st.HP switch stance combo. Alternatively, for a fancier, more damaging, but also more difficult combo, you can do this: st.HP (must be a counter hit), switch stance, cr.MK, st.MP->st.HK, ex FBA.

For punish combos in a crush counter situation you want:

(clawless)

  • st.hk, st.hk, st.lp, cr.mp and either MK roll, or ex walldive

(claw)

  • st.hk, st.hp, stance switch, st.lp, cr.mp mk roll/ex walldive.

These are both maximum damage combos. Keep in mind its important to get that st.lp in there, it does only 1 more damage than without, however it adds another good little chunk of stun.
As for the lk roll crossup, depending off what setup you did it on it can be a tad wonky. If you do it off ex walldive a pixel too early on the hit and all of a sudden you don’t cross up. Just kind of the nature of the beast.

Apreiciate man helps allot this punish is going to take me some time to get down I miss time the cr.strong allot lol much better punish than just doing clawless crush counter st.hk st.hp hk roll

How do I actually make Vegas walldive cross up? Do I hold the stick in a direction during the move or do I have to use the right strength?

Knock down the opponent and then aim right above their center as they get up. Then try to jiggle to break their left/right input and get them to mess up the direction they input an attack or block, allowing you to cross them up.

Nice thank you
