Cosmic Heel -> EX FBA/ST is the norm. Psychic DP is basically performing an empty shoryuken while hoping that your opponent gets hit by it (poke, throw attempt, etc). It’s a bad habit unless you’re really good at conditioning your opponent to do something obvious.

should backflip be a reversal? I think it would help a shit ton if it was.

Hmm ok, I was reading up on footsies and it reccomended not to do those to help practice with the footsies. I use the FBA to do that at times, and to piss off someone who won’t come at me. filling the super meter dosen’t hurt either. Thanks I’ll try to cut down on it

Oh also, how do you guys refer to the kkk & ppp backflips? So I know what backflip ya’ll are talmking about

Most of the time if anyone mentions backflip, it’s most likely the kkk one…cuz ppp sucks ass, though i do use it sometimes randomly to throw people off…

Is this because of the recovery time? The ppp one is a more novice one to dodge projectiles. The kkk one takes a bit more timing. Thanks B-Dub :tup:

That is true, it’s why I try to finish most games where they have chip-worthy health left with BHC XD. I’m a sod for it at times.

Ok so yesterday i played this defensive honda. He never attacked all he did was sit there. It was so bad that we went an entire match holding down back. He never did headbutt, unless he had EX. If I kara throw even at max distance he would tech it, and I would rarely throw him to. What i want to know is how to deal with this. I know this match up is completely dependent on spacing. To land damage you want to be close but not close enough to where he could land his jab. But the problem is that he gains meter from blocking your attacks, and once he gets EX he can easily turn the tide with one counter EX Headbutt. You can chip him all you want but he simply deals more damage in one move than you do in a normal move combo. I would bait him to use meter to, simply by safe jumping on occasion to try and make him use meter for a AA. Any tips since I only play this character once in a blue moon.

Really not a lot you can do to turtlyness like that, bait bait bait and bait I find is the only tactic that works.

Does anyone have any advice on finger placement when doing kara throws? i usually try pointer and thumb for the grab with my pinky on hk, but it doesnt come out consistently. Not sure if that is the best way to do it and im just bad at it or what lol

You’re doing it the way I do it, and it works well enough for me. I just keep my fingers stiff and angle my hand in a way that my pinky hits slightly before the other fingers.

Ah, well I guess I should just get better at that.

Ok so I don’t fight a lot of Claw’s and I fought one the other day that was doing his wall dive and I was gonna focus attack it but the shit hit twice…I thought I was imagining things but he did it one more time. I hadn’t seen it before so I was wondering what the hell it was.

EX FBA will hit twice if the Claw gets right above you and doesn’t press a directional input while punching.
