Vega Q&A: Ask simple questions here!

Dgowen answered your first, so for CH > ST.
The moment you input the Cosmic heel, go straight back into charging down back.
Wait until you see Vega FULLY crouch on the floor then input the ST.

Alternatively, find a user on here called Headtap, if I remember right he has a video on it in his signature.

Thanks and it’s Jam, anyone try it with SC instead of the super?

Also, in Makoto’s set with Uryo the commentators said Mak landed a ¤crossup Ex FBA¤. Was that the case? And does anyone know the circumstances to use it in along with the timing?

I have a question for you.

Where in Louisiana do you live?

Why do you need to know?

hey, would increasing the start up frames on rcf, make vega broken? say hp rcf had the start up of lp rcf. if so pushing people to the corner would be so easy. and in the corner Vega is fucking good at keeping you there, and quickly adding up damage. not only that, but vega would have such a good chip game as well. ill gladly give up any fadc follow up and damage on rcf just to have this buff. how do you guys feel, because this is the buff Vega needs to make him so much better. Since Vega design imo is meant to push you in the corner and proceed to rape you there. Also when you guys land an izuna in the corner, do you guys go for the loop or do you guys position yourself so the opponent is in the corner? i only go for it again if i do it and land in the corner, and the opponent can walk back. Imo the superior position is so much more important, than an extra attempt at izuna.

Depends how much of a lifelead I have and how much of a risk I’m willing to take.

If I’m low down, I setup for loop because there’s a slight chance that it can save my ass.

If I have quite a lifelead, I’ll keep them cornered and try to keep the pressure because I’m less scared of being punched in the face.

Unless I’m at a big disadvantage on life, I don’t go for loops. Imo, doing another Izuna is pretty much an “all in”-move, it either pays off or it gets your butt soar. Sure, positioning is of course a gamble as well, but I feel that I have been alot more successfull with it. Going for Izuna is going for another 150 damage - getting position is setting it up for more than 150 damage. Or, that’s how I like to think of it.

I have been wishing this for a long time. If HP RCF was at the LP speed vega would be ridiculous. Not broken, but being able to combo into that or end block strings with all that chip would def make vega an even bigger threat. Especially since there is a chance that you would be able to semi loop them like we can with cr.mp > lp RCF > c.mp > lp RCF. It would also help give us safer options on getting in (people would have to guess whether we r throwing a lp or hp rcf like with hondas headbutts, blanka balls, or bisons psycho crusher). IT also gives a new, fairly safe bnb combo without EX.

If you wana make vega close to broken (or at least more fun), you would have to let him ex cancel his wall dives and pressing kick while in the air drops you immediately so you can fake people out AND punish them for trying to focus, jump or dp you.

Just curious. I’m a Shreveport native, though I live in Arkansas now.

yo!!! since spain one the world cup, that makes everything spain related top tier right? look at brazil, they have won it so many times, and everything brazil related is top tier. the beaches, the women that have both a butt and boobies, aids research, ethanol production, top tier favelas, el carnival, and who can forget that fury bastard Blanka!!!

so that should make Vega top tier now because, well he is a spaniard and his team won the world cup.

Is it funny that I said practically the same thing when I heard?

Does eating a russian glowing mushroom recharge my batteries?

Fuck yeah. And if you drink that special russian water, you’ll recharge the soul as well!!!
Trust me I know bout these kinds things.

I just started playing Vega/Claw more and I really want to learn how to “play him correctly” from what I have been told from my friends that play they say just stay back and use c.:mp: because it it god. Also, I was wondering what different ways can you play Vega/Claw, can you play him rush down and turtling or just turtling?

Turtling doesn’t bode well with Vega because he doesn’t have tools to do it really. It’s too easy to get in on him to be viable to turtle.

More suited to poking and zoning.
you can play him aggressively, but you have to be careful, know how to block and throw tech too.

Oh and don’t abuse backflips. They suck ass

Ok thanks, also do you know anyone who is on XBL that can show me some stuff with Vega more or less fundamentals because I lack those all together.

Ask around the threads, The Team Vega thread is generally an alright place to start because there’s a few people in there on XBL.

AKA the thread entitled “Our race has suffered long enough, it is time.”

Ok thank you :china:
