Most of the time Vega attacks in the wrong direction for some reason when I’ve attempted that. It never works, ever.

@Moonchilde Gotta jump back MP or weird shit happens. Serp’s v-skill option seems better though.

So how do you guys feel about the Urien matchup so far?

I can’t deal with the Bison matchup. The community at large thinks he’s super bad like all you have to do is spam your 3f normal but even the worst Bisons make me sweat. What am I missing? Everything is safe or +, Vega can’t AA his stomp so he just has to let him do it and hold that chip damage, reacting his dash is tricky esp online and he has the biggest throw range in the game so sometimes you’re just going to get tossed out of your pressure. And if you “just block” you’ll rack up tons of grey health. What do?

walk back…that is the gist of it…holding downback is just what Bison want’s you to do…yes…everything that Bipson does is +200 on block but his only long poke is pretty slow…as long as you walk back you completely avoid Bison pressure…he can’t keep the pressure cause he is one of the slower walkers in the game…neutral jumping does great nulifying dash in sillyness…also is not true that you can’t antiair Bison’s stomps…jmp and jmk does well against regular stomps…exploid Bison’s weak anti airs…even if he does anti airs a couple of times the risk reward is always in your favor…pressure with gusto once you knock him down…once Bison stars using v-reversal you start tick-command throwing…one thing i’m using these days with a lot of sucess is…(and this is relevant cause Bison player when in doubt will attempt to throw)…for people who consistently tech throw attemps…you go for your regular tic throws set ups but insted of throwing you do ex ase…it blows the throw attemp since is throw invincible

Ehm… actually agaisnt bison you must watch your feet, his cr.mk normal is cancellable into scissor kicks and confirmable to vtrigger which is his saving feature.

Yeah, I don’t like walking back too much against Bison due to his cr.MK cancel as well as slide which is pretty much non-reactable within a certain distance. Jump back, however is pretty safe against him since his approaches require him to take a risk. Jump back MP or MK will beat pretty much all of his aerial options and if he does an unsafe dash or slide to close the gap you can try to fish for a late j.MK when you land. Once you condition Bison to stop stomping, you can go for neutral jump baits. And like @“vagabond zero” mentioned, pressure the fuck out of him whenever you get a knockdown.

I find the jump back throw OS to be fairly useful in this match if you need breathing room after blocking his crap.

It seems like Vega’s V-reversal nullifies Urien’s Aegis mixups.

Yeah as long as he can alpha counter vega doesn’t have to play shit unless he is in the corner.

Urien vtrigger doesnt work in the corner, only the unsafe version (the duckable one).

So after dominating for a long time this days i’m getting crushed by my friend’s Alex…can i get some advice against Alex…i feel like the better i play againt him the quicker he gets v-trigger and super and becomes a much scarier character…i can be dominating the whole round and once he gets v-trigger he deals a massive damage on any good read…once i get knocked down everything is 50/50…i really hate how fucked we are after any normal gets canceled into v-trigger again 50/50 and with no effort…any advice on how to deal with his mix ups on wake up would be very aprecciated
